Oh it's no big deal, if they were playing another team besides Detroit, they might have won.

You would think Mr. Hitchcock would learn not to rattle cages. Because if the animals escape....

The Wings are hungry for another chance at the Cup, and the Jackets are no match to stand in their way for it. This game just goes to show you that some teams are meant to be here, and others aren't. We came so close to having Phoenix leaving the league. Columbus- take a hint!

Yeah Russia...because God knows a team that made the playoffs last year isn't supposed to be here. I hope it doesn't hurt too much when you fall off of your high horse someday

This team will always be just a so so team. They will win a few games but lose to the better teams in the league. Ownership will never spend the money to be a winner. How many millions are the Jackets under the salary cap again this year? Just another reason no private money should be used to support this franchise. Any private funding will go into the owners pockets and not the team.

Don't sweat it CBJ fans, Wings fan here. The Jackets beat the Wings last year in the regular season 8-2. It's just a regular season game. Get geared up and in order for the playoffs. It's what the Wings have done for the past 20 years, and it seems to have worked. You've got a good team, no team with Nash can be discounted. And Mason isn't as good as he was last year, but not nearly as bad as he was tonight. But he's still an above average goalie who will win the majority of the time. Don't quit on your team, and don't quit on Hitch......no-one survives in this league coaching as long as he has without knowing a thing or two. Just sayin.......

The team has spent the money to lock up guys like Nash, Brassard, and Vermette for the future. They're willing to spend and are building a team with enough talent that they should be able to contend for years to come. One loss and everyone thinks the sky is falling...some of your are asinine.

Please please PLEASE let Bob Hunter write a column about this game. The unintentional comedy will be off the charts.

1st Playoff appearance in 8 seasons doesn't mean anything. Wake up and get real. It took the Jackets the longest out of all the expansion clubs to make it. You think that maybe there's a reason?!

It's alright thought JR- you guys have your football, so stick to what you know, and out of the NHL.

One of the saddest aspects of this game was the abundance of "vanilla" commentating spewed out by the Blue Jackets "Yes Men". Jim Day communicated what the fans felt after a disaster of a game such as this. Danny Gare said what we were all thinking when the Jackets were playing poorly. We just got embarrassed by the Red Wings again and the comments during the game were as if we were down by a couple of goals. Don't insult us as fans by not calling a spade a spade. I'm not saying it has to be all doom and gloom, just tell it like it is. I'm not a relative or friend of the announcers who were let go, I'm just a fan who appreciates some honesty in the midst of an ugly loss.

Folks - I was there for the LA Kings debacles from years past and have seen many put up 6-8 goals on us both home and away yet; this tops it all - what a joke. Embarrasing, humiliating, and sobering (no pun intended after paying $7 for a beer). It may in fact be best for this team to have a change of scenery. Do the math, please. Simply spend $150 per game for tix, F&B, parking, etc. and you will begin to question just how it is that we find ouselves losing massive amounts of cash per year??? I for one can't see giving my vote to save a team that is inept on and off the ice. Priest might consider a trip to Jersey to see how the Devils make a profit with only a half full boat. Looking closely at Kronwall after his second goal, he was laughing. Start drinking the kool-aid aid as the boys will show up Friday against the Ducks and start making us think we have what it takes, and are on our way to the Cup. Keep drinking, we just got waxed by a weak Detroit team hungry to tell us that we are still their you know what. As a good Cubs fan might say "wait til next year!"

Cujo, I've gotta say
Coming from a Blue Jackets fan.....
You hit it right on the head. And you are the kind of fan I like to sit next to at a game!
No one enjoys a route of the other team. It's just not fun to watch. Game #4 of the playoffs was exciting. When we beat Detroit 8-2, I honestly wasn't very excited about it......it might be great for stats....but it's not fun to watch any team lose that badly. 9-1 was no better. And not just because we lost.
I was on the rail and tried to talk to several of the guys and even asked Nash and Boll for their sticks.......they wouldn't even acknowledge the fans.
That's not to bad mouth them at all! We love our Jackets! Keep your chins up guys! YOUR REAL FANS STILL LOVE YOU GUYS! YOU'LL BOUNCE BACK!
LET'S GO JACKETS!!!!!!!!

WHY DON'T YOU GO THERE! YER A JOKE!
I SEEM TO RECALL OSGOOD GETTING YANKED FROM THE GOALIE BOX LAST YEAR, AFTER WE ROUTED YOU 8-2......YER NOT INVINCIBLE AND ANY TEAM CAN BE BEATEN ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT! THERE ARE 84 GAMES IN THE SEASON....THIS ISN'T THE LAST GAME THE JACKETS AND WINGS WILL PLAY!
BY THE WAY.....AREN'T THE JACKETS ON TOP OF OUR DIVISION STILL? AND YOU ARE FIVE GAMES BACK OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT RIGHT......SO IF WE DON'T BELONG, WHERE DOES THAT LEAVE YOU? ON THE PLANE HEADED FOR SIBERIA?
YOU ARE JUST A LOUDMOUTH JERK THAT THINKS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT! IT'S ALL GOOD, WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND!
THE SEASON ISN'T OVER, BY A LONG SHOT! AND I'M NOT IMPRESSED WITH YOUR MOUTH....I'D VENTURE TO SAY, YER WRITING THAT FROM YOUR MOTHER'S BASEMENT, IN YOUR "BACHELOR PAD".....TELL YOUR MOM YOU WANT SOME MORE MEATLOAF AND SHUT UP!

Thank you for bringing this up, it was very painful to listen to the announcers. At times they were quoting Hockey 101.."The Jackets need to dump the puck behind the net, dig it out and feed it to someone in the slot" DUH Well, at least they didn't lose this one in the last 2 minutes. It's time to move on and learn from this experience.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Cancer

Someone dear to your heart isn't exactly a barrel of laughs today, are they? Is it your imagination or are they taking a perverse delight in spreading doom and gloom in all directions? If they've got good reason to be miserable then they deserve your sympathy, but even so it may not last for long. Try to keep active and cheerful, otherwise you'll also develop a tendency to brood.
