I am running a project at the moment, called ‘Origami 4 Charity’(O4C for short) http://webspace.webring.com/people/gn/numboju... which provides just under 70 suggestions for ways in which origami can be used to benefit worthy charities.
As part of the evolution of the project, the list of ideas now needs origami diagrams/models which could be used copyright free (sort of), so that people could use them to benefit worthy causes with the knowledge that there is already prior consent to use the models for such purposes. I’m hoping that this will be one step closer in making it easier for people to use origami for such charitable purposes. To this effect then, it is my intention to provide such a list of models that have this prior consent on the O4C webpage and I’m therefore wondering whether anybody would be gracious enough to donate their models to such a project. BTW, I’m not asking you to give up your copyright to your creation, all I’m asking for is prior consent so that it removes a potential stumbling block for people having to be bothered to contact the creators of a model. So, the mention of a model in this list will be taken that the person who wishes to use the model for charitable purposes does not need to contact the creator to seek permission. Of course, if you wish, there will still be a way to contact you just out of courtesy to inform you that your model will be used for such and such a charitable purpose. To kick start this part of the O4C project off, I have donated all of the models http://webspace.webring.com/people/gn/numboju... that I have created (for what they’re worth) for charitable purposes and will be stating so on the O4C webpage. Is anybody else willing to donate their models with prior consent to my O4C project? If so, I hope you will respond to my request above. Mike |
