Just read Max's comment. I had bought my som an
Atlas HO train set...what a nightmare!! My son picks up the loco and cars (he's careful) and they fall apart in his hands. They look good but they are really made not too touch and the rolling stock is very light. The track keeps popping up out of the roadbed.
So I go to Hobby Lobby in Oaklahoma, they have 1 set left of a metal stye set with HO metal autos and a tractor trailer for like $169.00. I must agree with Max, these sturdy trains look as good as the Atlas and they run much, much smoother. I'm looking at the box now and it says Model Tower
what a solid great gift for a kid or an adult.

I bought a car for my kid but the batteries only lasted a week. I feel I got ripped off.

Their prices on RC Planes and equipment are as good or better than the mailorder stores. It sure is nice to have a local Hobby Store around that can be competitive with the mailorder stores. If they don't have it in stock, they can usually have it in within 5 days.
