Those of us from Collinsville always knew we'd see you on the "big screen" someday. ;-)

My mother's father had a big train set out in the shed when I was a kid, and I remember thinking THAT was huge. It was nothing to the size of this setup, though.

What a great story! And a beautiful model train layout! The Museum of Science and Industry is on my destinations of interest list now!

A great exhibit that I have enjoyed for years. Now, only if it didn't cost so much to go to the Museum of Science & Industry...

Model railroading is a VERY constructive and intellectual pasttime. It also appeals to all generations from kids to elderly. Out here in Omaha, the kids visit the train shows. Then, at the end, they scream "I don't want to go". So, train layouts are a good babysitter.

GREAT ARTICLE!!
UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO AGE, DISABILITY AND DISTANCE (LAS VEGAS, NV), I'M AFRAID I'LL NEVER GET TO SEE THE EXHIBIT UP CLOSE & PERSONAL. I HAVE HEARD, HOWEVER, THAT A VIDEO TOUR OF THE LAYOUT HAS BEEN MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC. DO YOU HAVE ANY KNOWLEDGE OF THIS?
THANKS FOR ANY INFO YOU CAN PROVIDE.
