Help, There is so much left out of this pattern I can't believe it. Maybe it isn't for an old knitter. I have to be shown or see a lay out of the pattern before it is put together. Can anyone help me? The pattern is in 50 baby bootees to knit, by Mellor. Page 10, it leave you hanging as to where and what to do. I even tried doing a graph chart to see what the heck is going on. And, of course my daughter wants these by May 10th for a wedding.
Please help!!!

I had a problem in the same book. I am trying to make the booties on page 109 - the lacey leaf bootie and although I have tried over and over, the pattern just does not work out right. Help!!! What's up with this book?

Have you ever found a contact for corrections to the Zoe Mellor "50 Baby Booties to Knit" book? I have experienced problems also. I make one bootie, then rewrite the pattern as best I can so that I can make the second one correctly. Of course, I have to take the first one apart and start over! I don't have a baby to try on these little shoes (simple shoes, polka dot shoes, and heart t-bar shoes), but it looks like the straps are all too short. If you or anyone out there can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Did you ever find the correction for the bootie on Page 10?

I am looking for notes for the botties on page 139 of her "Adorable Knits for Tots" book. After reading many other forums, they all say to contact the publisher for the correction sheets. Unfortunately, the pattern I need isn't included. After research, I'm inclined to say that the majority of her patterns have issues. So unfortunate. I should have done my homework before purchasing the book.

I am currently knitting the pirate sweater from adorable knits for tots by Zoe Mellor. The body seems right on target for size. But the sleeves are way to narrow. Any help would be appreciated on size corrections. Thanks

I know you posted this a long time ago, but I am making the very same snuggle. I am as far as the last several rows of the back piece, but the number of stitches the pattern SAYS to cast off and then knit, etc. does not add up to how many stitches should be left on the needle at the end of the previous row. I can't figure this thing out!! Did you ever figure it out or receive any help to do so?(My baby is due in 2.5 weeks and I'd really like to get this thing finished!!)

50 baby bootees to knit, oh my gosh, cannot believe how many problems people have run across. I just started a pair and had a problem, not sure if it is me or the pattern. After reading that there is no errata, I have stopped and sent the publisher a note asking for corrections. I want to knit them all, fun and funky patterns.

I just started this pattern for these adorable shoes on page 138-139 and noticed a mistake on the 3rd row where it says to P1 K1 I think it should be K1P1 for the moss stitch because of the cast on 1 st on the 2nd row. Hope there are no other mistakes!

I have to keep fixing the patterns in her 50 Booties because the numbers never add up right, but I can't just add or subtract to get the right number because there are different directions and numbers for each side! I have made some of the booties without any trouble, but the mary jane style are all messed up. I frogged one pattern I had started on because I thought I was making mistakes!!

I am also having problems with this book. I am trying to make the booties on page 22-23.

There is a section with the direction *to* I have never seen this abbreviation. Nothing I do makes it work. Any ideas.

Full directions areL k1,*k2tog, k25, k2tog* k3,*to* again, k1.

It means you're to knit between the two asterisks one more time,*k2tog, k25, k2tog* then k1. That should bring you to the end of the row.

I do not understand the pattern on Pg. 70. Why do you add six more lines to a sweater sleeve. How can you join it to the shoulder and what do you do with the six more lines. Very confusing. No explanation in the book "Adorable Knit for Tots" by Zoe Mellor. This is not a common practice when joining sleeves to the body of a sweater. I can't find any explanation anywear. The sweater is lovely so far.

I too was considering purchasing this book. With so many comments from experienced knitters I wonder why the author/publisher have not made corrections?
Does anyone know if it has been reprinted recently. If not shall certainly not buy. Seems such a shame!

I have given up. I wasted my whole afternoon today working on the "baby slippers". What a waste of time for all of us. You would think "Zoe Mellor" would have had somebody check to make sure her patterns were correct before going to the publisher. I do not even think she bother to check herself. After looking at several sites with the same complaints regarding nothing making any sense, I can see that I have wasted my money, and a lot of time, because of her inexcusable way of publishing her patterns. Its is too bad, as she is very creative. I cannot even donate her book to the library because the patterns are so messed up.
