I hope this article inspires more people to take up knitting for charity. It's easy to do, it keeps your hands warm in the winter, and it makes a difference. Lots of fabric stores collect knitted squares to stitch into blankets, and I'm sure any donation center would appreciate hats and scarves. For those of us who are fidgety, knitting also keeps the hands occupied while watching t.v. Keep at it, Betty!

At Nourishing NYC we’re gathering knitted items to give to individuals that do not have a place to keep warm. We deliver these knitted goods along with a hot meal–help us.
