I'm looking for a pattern for knee-length booties--guess I should call them socks--which look like a Mary Jane, but then the white part (sock) extends to the knee. I had this adorable pattern once and somehow it got away from me. Can anyone help me out?

I'm also looking for a pattern I had in the mid-70's for knit Mary Jane booties, but with striped red and white knee socks that looked like Raggedy Ann shoes and stockings. Have you done a "Google" search for 'Mary Jane knit booties'? There are several patterns that may be close to what you seek. Try this link http://www.p2designs.com/images/patterns/SoxM... The socks are not knee length, but you could simply keep knitting until they were the desired length. Good luck!

I found some beautiful knitted Mary Jane booties 8/06 at Tesselschade-Arbeid Adelt, a shop in Amsterdam, Holland, for 8 Euro. The strap is knitted independently of the white sock part of the bootie. The sock part is knee high or can be folded down. The knitter does beautiful work. No, they would not give me the bootie pattern. I asked.

The store had beautiful knitted dolls, hats, sweaters, jackets. Tatted lace collars, smocked dresses, painted trays, tea cozies.

I am looking for a knitted pattern for Raggedy Ann Booties that was in the Woman's Day magazine or Family Circle magazine in the late "'70'sor early 80's. It was published on page 183. but the picture shown on page 134. I have most of the pattern but am missing part of it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
