FAA calling County's decision to boot gliders unjustified

The Federal Aviation Administration is calling Riverside County 's decision to boot glider pilots out of Hemet-Ryan Airport over supposed safety concerns unjustified, adding that reasonable steps should be taken to accommodate all forms of flying at the site.

I live very close to the Hemet-Ryan Airport and feel booting the Glider pilots is unfair also. However, I am appalled by the total lack of a manned tower at this airport. It "supposedly" closes down after dark, but small planes fly in and out of that airport at all times of the night.
One night last week, a small plane took off around 2:30 AM and went right over our house flying low! Last Saturday, I saw a small plane, and a larger jet flying in the same airspace lane and missed a collision by a mere 15 or less feet. It was in the afternoon around 4:00PM and I thought for sure they would collide. The CDF now uses this airport as their base. During this fire season they are taking off at all hours. I don't worry about them, but the small plane pilots who fly in and out of the airport everyday some recklessly. Please, please, get a Control Tower installed in this growing airport, before planes do collide and land on my home or my neighbors.

I didn't know planes land and take off without air control. shit, that's scarey.
