I am searching for information on Daniel Webster Sweeney. He married Katherine Townes in 1875, Red River Co. They had 9 children. Katherine's Father was R.W. Townes & her Mother was Margret Temple. I have recently found out that D.W's father might be Edward Sweeney b.1815 Ireland. Any help would be greatly appreciated!=)

Well the 1990 US census lists DW Sweeney's parent place of birth as New York?

Yeah there are a lot of mistakes in the census, but I know his Father , Edward Sweeney was definitely from Ireland. I think that Edward was the one to drop "Mac" from the Sweeney name?? Still working on it ;)
