An anti slavery organization in England in the 1700s sent monitors to observe the slave trade and report in their newsletter back in Europe. Their findings were that the slave traders went into African villages to trade steel kitchen knives and iron cook pots to the Africans for their children. The slave traders were very selective as to which children they took while the Africans insisted that all children be traded. Children that were social and not clingy to their parents were the ones considered acceptable. Children who engaged in group singing were said to be social and acceptable. The slave traders took the entire group of children together, singing as they walked, to the waiting ships, many miles away. Getting young children allowed the slave handlers to train slaves from an early age to be cooperative and servile.

Every country and peoples of the world,except Ethiopia,I understand were slaves/slav - it was usual for peoples OWN people to sell them in greed for profit or usery, even the founding labour of America,s and Australia had kid-nabbed, surplus poor, referred to as sons of toil LONG LONG LONG BEFORE african slaves hit the shores of the americans-there were more white slaves in all those new world countries that they want you to believe, see;
