Sad about the water damage. Glad the insurance is adequate.

On the building plans: The elevator was just put in a few years ago. Extending it to another floor would be an extravagance. That floor's not used for much anyhow. If a cripple needs to get up there, hire some strong local boys to carry her up.

Lets see now . The town hall had a pipe burst last year and now the second most expensive cost per participant Library in the State of Vt. has a pipe burst . Could that be why BF has the highest cost for water in the State ??? What is the deductible ???

The upstairs not used much for anything? How about never ever used at all? I've been going to that library for about 10 years and I have never seen the upstairs without the closed signed draped across the bottom of the steps. I've heard it is very nice upstairs - a museum of sorts...?....but I really have no idea because it has never been open. The back hallway to go to the basement portion has been closed now for years too - I don't know why.

Unfortunate about the water damage. Hope an upgrade can come out of this. I find the library a useful and friendly place - only the illiterate ball bags of BF whine about it's cost.

Spoke to someone at the library today and the insurance is NOT adaquate and will not cover the full cost of replacement of furnishings, repairs and most importantly, restoration to the irreplaceable volumes of local history, which are still in Boston!
