Why I do believe this was way, way, way before the 6,000 years ago that the Bible says that the Earth was created by God. According to this view, about 6,000 years ago God spoke everything into being in six literal sun days and then rested on the 7th 24 hour period.
Now let’s continue with the Bible story ....
(3) And Adam lived 130 years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth:
(5) And all the days that Adam lived were 930 years: and he died.
Adam and Eve, in the Bible, the 1st man and woman, progenitors of the human race. The biblical account of the creation of human beings occurs twice: in Genesis 1:26-27 and in Genesis 2:18-24. Marked differences in vocabulary, thought, and style between these accounts have led to the scholarly consensus that these creation stories reflect two distinct sources (see Bible: The Development of the Old Testament).
In the 1st account, the Hebrew common noun Adam is used as a generic term for all human beings, regardless of gender; Eve is not mentioned at all. In the 2nd account, Adam is created from the dust of the earth, whereas Eve is created from Adam's rib and given to him by God to be his wife.
Before the beginning of the 19th century, it was commonly assumed that every species of life, human beings included, had descended from a pair of aboriginal ancestors created directly by God. In this respect the biblical story of Adam and Eve differs only in details from many other myths of the ancient Middle East and elsewhere. Similar motifs also appear in such ancient Mesopotamian sources as the Gilgamesh epic from about 2000BC, for example.
In some respects, however, the story of Adam and Eve is unique. The early chapters of the Book of Genesis underwent considerable editorial work, and what began as a straightforward narrative of the beginning of the human species in general was converted into a more sophisticated exploration of the situation of men and women in relation to one another and to their environment. This is evident in the introduction of the theme of a separate creation of woman in Genesis 2:18-24, which, among other things, argues for the complementarity of the two sexes. The impulse to provide explanations can also be seen in the way the story is used to attribute the imperfections of the world to human error: It is a consequence of primordial disobedience that the earth yields its fruits grudgingly (Genesis 3:17-19) and that woman's social position is inferior to that of man (3:16). Christian interpreters have traditionally associated this dimension of the story with the
doctrine of original sin.
It is the ethical concern pervading the biblical story of human origins that constitutes the story's primary claim to consideration as a religious classic. Before the emergence of higher criticism in biblical scholarship in the 19th century, it was taken for granted that the story was nothing less than sober history. This is the position still maintained by some religious conservatives who view the divine influence (inspiration) on the production of the biblical narratives as a guarantee that everything in them must be accepted as literal fact (see Fundamentalism).
Most present-day biblical scholars, however, accept the story of Adam and Eve for what it appears to be: a Hebrew story of human origins having much in common with the myths of other ancient peoples as well as a good deal that is distinctive.
Far from diminishing the value of the biblical story, this realization serves to underscore the unique elements in ancient Hebrew religion.

The death of Adam took place at the end of 930 years, on the 15th day of Barmudeh, after the reckoning of an epact of the sun at the 9th hour. He was the 1st to die of a natural death (Abel was murdered) in the land of Eden, his wife and children outlived him (Forgotten Books of Eden)
Name means: of the ground
The 1st human being of God (Luke 3:38)
Location of Eden was east of the OT writers at the origin of four rivers. Two known today as the Tigris and Euphrates, originate in the gereral area of Armenia, in the Fertile Crescent. The other two can not be identified perhaps affected by topographical changes. Some say that the land of Eden is under the Black sea.
In the 17th century, Bishop Ussher used OT genealogies to comput a date of 4004 BC for creation. He failed to grasp how the Hebrews kept or used genealogies. These records raced roots or claims to a land and thus personal identity. Hebrew genealogies usually included on famous individuals and thus inaccurate.
The Gospel of Philip states that Adam came into being from two virgins: from the Spirit and from the virgin earth. Therefore, the Christ was born from a virgin so that he could bring order to the stumbling which occurred in the beginning
Eden is called the earthly meeting place of Yahweh and his council.
"O Seth, my son, the moment I am dead take ye my body and wind it up with myrrh, aloes and cassia and leave me here in the Cave of Treasures in which are all these tokes which God gave us from the garden" (Forgotten Books of Eden).... let the oldest among them command his children to lay my body in a ship until the flood has been assuaged and they come out of the ship. Then they shall take my body and lay it in the middle of the earth, shortly after they have been saved from the waters of the flood.
Bible chronologist James Ussher indicates that God created Adam and Eve about 4004 BC however the date assessed will differ (see below)
Reportedly about 3800 BC, there appeared the civilization of Sumeria in the plain between the the Euphrates and the Tigris rivers (Mesopotamia). Then followed circa 3100 BC, the civilization of the Nile river (Egypt, Ethiopia) and the 3rd civilization, that of the Indrus river (India)made its appearance circa 2800 BC. These were the three regions allotted to mankind, the nations on the Near East, Africa and Ido-Europe. These were not cave man civilizations but civilizations that could plot the stars, plant food, irrigate, make laws, read and write a language, mine ore, make weapons, develop a Calender, do math etc. Example would be the pyramids and other monumental structures such as the tower of Babel (bricks and mortar several stories high). This advanced civilization recognized at the time of Adam hit the ground running while the Cro-Magnon or cave people were still throwing rocks to kill their meat and gathering berries.
Evidently there is a book called "The Lost Books of the Bible and Forgotten Books of Eden" which was made up of a number of ancient books that were never included in the Bible because by whom they were written could not be determined. This books tells that both Cain and Able had twin sisters, the sister of Cain was Luluwa and the sister of Able was Aklia. According to these books, Cain had been told to marry Aklia, Abel's sister while Able was to marry Luluwa, Cains sister. Cain loved his sister more and decided to kill Able to prevent him from marrying Luluwa. After the murder, Adam banished Cain and Luluwa from the mountains where they lived which left Aklia without a husband until Seth became 15. Adam forbid Seth's family and Cains family from mingling.

There is no known spot where physical features accord exactly with the description here. The garden was destroyed in the flood and the earth surface has changed as was most probably the flow of the rivers.
Eden seemingly describes the area commonly known as Arabia, Assyria, Babylonia, Ur of the Chaldeans, perhaps north west or westerly from the Persian Gulf, south-east of Babylon, westerly of Ur in Chaldea.
Gen. 2:10 Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four rivers.
11: The name of the 1st is Pishon; it flows around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold
13: And the name of the 2nd river is Gihon; it flows around the whole land of Cush
14: And the name of the 3rd river is Tigris; it flows east of Assyria. And the 4th river is the Euphrates.
When God drove Adam from the garden of Eden, he took his staff and tilled the ground. The stick came down to Noah, to Shem to Abraham, to Isaac, to Jacob and then to Joseph as Jacob had taken it by force from Esau.
After Josephs death the stick came into the hands of Reuel, the Midianite when he went out of Egypt where he planted it in his garden. To whom could pluck it out would get the hand of Zipporah, his daughter. The stick remained planted in the garden of Reuel until Moses came by and took it out.
There seems to be both Biblical and archaeological evidence of a pre-Adamic race, be it what the Bible call the Nephilim (sons of God x daughters of man) the Cro- Magnon people, the Sumarians, the Atlantian's or terrestrials. Nephilim seems to indicate that man existed to have daughters for this mating which resulted in a race of Giants yet I guess one could assume consummation with the Cro-magnon race.
Archaeologist state that there was already a thriving world when Adam was created and historians Jacquetta Hawkes concluded that 3,000 years before Adam, a race of people were already living "relatively settled" lives in agricultural villages. The houses were built to last and were equipped with fixed corn grinders, ovens and provisions for storing grain. In southern Levant with a strong Natufian tradition, the earliest houses were round, then after 7000 BC, they became rectangular. They had polished plaster floors, rush matting, decorated walls, fired pottery (first know 7000 BC in the Zagros region and spinning and weaving equipment. Jericho was probably the oldest city which was at a great oasis in the Jordan Valley. When the town was dug up, it was estimated that at least 2,000 inhabitants were there as far back as 8,000 BC.

From Dan Burrell: I don't find belief in the fact that God created the heavens, Earth and all its inhabitants in six days to be anti-intellectual or simplistic ...(by who's days are you measuring Dan?) nor do I believe that we are the result of some sort of cataclysmic anomaly which required a bolt of lightning to hit a pool of primordial ooze which changed this ancient soup into just the right mixture which could eventually crawl its way on to a slimy bank, produce legs, organs, eyes and a brain enabling it to wend its way through a hostile environment, climb up trees, grow tails and swing around for a few billion years before landing in a location such as Harvard University .... the lungs contain 1000 miles of capillaries. The process of exchanging oxygen for carbon dioxide is so complicated that it is more difficult to exchange the two than it is for a man shot out of a cannon.
The time between the "creation" and the entrance of Israel (Abraham) into Canaan is counted as 50th jubilees or 2,450 which should come close to the Bible records.
According to the book of Jubilees, Adam and his wife came out of the garden of Eden and dwelt in the land of Elda on the new moon of the 4th month and they did not have a son until the 1st jubilee year ... "and Adam knew Eve, his wife, and she brought forth yet nine sons ...(book of Jubilees)
WAIT THERE IS MORE: NOAH & THE FLOOD. There was never a flood that covered the entire earth at one time. And there were people living before Noah that were not of his direct family and therefore not on the ark who have descendants living today.
Noah's father was Lamech (Lamk\Lamik) Ben Methuselah. His father was Methuselah Ben Enoch. This last man had two brothers, Elikam Ben Enoc and Rake'el Ben Enoch who had children. These children were not on the ark and have decendants living today. Matter of fact, I am one. Because I have traced my ancestory way, way back, I have all three as my Great Grandfathers. Lamech and Rake'el are my 56GGrandfathers; whereas Elikaim is my 55GGrandfather. See, I descend from all three. Going back further, the Prophet Enoch Ben Jared had at least 10 children and Methuselah wasn't the only one with descendants. Barake'el Bas Enoch also had some. She is my 56GGrandaunt. Then Enoch's father Jared Ben Mahalalel (whose father was Mahalalel Ben Cainan who also had a brother named Daniel Ben Mahalalel. Both had descendants. Jared is my 58GGrandfather. He had at least four children: Azrial Bas Jared, Enoch Ben Jared (Mentioned before), Elimelch Ben Jared and Elishaa Bas
Jared. All had descendants, not in the flood.
Here are some links to this great Biblical fabled flood. They are from the HIstory Channel on TV..

By the way did you know the Bible says that John the Baptist virgin born, just as Jesus.
Birth and Infancy: The Gospel of Luke includes an account of John's infancy, introducing him as the son of Zachariah, an old man, and his wife Elizabeth, who was sterile. According to this account the birth of John was foretold by the angel Gabriel to Zachariah, while Zachariah was performing his functions as a priest in the temple of Jerusalem; since Zachariah is described as a priest of the course of Abijah, and his wife, Elizabeth, as one of the daughters of Aaron this would make John a descendant of Aaron on both his father's and mother's side.
The Gospel of Luke states that Jesus was conceived when Elizabeth was about six months pregnant; when Mary came to tell her about her news, Elizabeth's unborn baby 'jumped for joy' in her womb. Zachariah had lost his speech at the behest and prophecy of the angel Gabriel, and it was restored on the occasion of Zachariah naming John. On the basis of Luke's account, the Catholic calendar placed the feast of John the Baptist on June 24, six months before Christmas. According to Luke, Jesus and John the Baptist were related, their mothers being cousins; there is no mention of this in the other Gospels, and the scholar Raymond E. Brown has described the relationship as 'of dubious historicity'; Géza Vermes has called it 'artificial and undoubtedly Luke's creation'.
The very close similarities between the accounts of the birth of Samuel in the Old Testament have led scholars to suggest that this is the model for the Gospel of Luke story of the birth of John and of the annunciation and birth of Jesus.

I posted this. Since posted, GenCircles has been sold to some tribe in Israel and they closed down this site, because they want you to pay to go on their site.
Who do they think they are, anyway. Oh yeah, Jews. The race who thinks God gave them Israel for Keeps for ever, even those they lost control over 1900 years ago and it was occupied by Moslems and others until 1948. Of course the Jews bring up the Holocaust. It is true. It actually did happen. But did you know that Jews, Christians and Moslems were murdered during the Crusades and the Catholic Inquisitions. Both went to Israel to convert Jews and Moslems to Christianity. Many (millions) who refused were murdered, including babies and the elderly. OF these millions, most were Moslems or Muslims. Is it any wonder why Jews and their brothers, the Moslems fight to this day. That is right, they both descend from Abraham. What has the Christian world done to provide a homeland in Israel for non-Jews who occupied it for over 1900 years before 1948? Basically little, very little.
I personally do not believe God spoke to Adam & Eve, Moses, Abraham, Joseph or Mary, etc. Nor to Pat Robertson (who has repeatedly said God told him the world was going to end in 1982. Or how about Oral Roberts who had a vision from God to build a 900-foot-tall Jesus who told him to build City of Faith Medical & Research Center, etc.
Roberts' fundraising has drawn controversy. In 1987, during a fundraising drive, Roberts announced to a television audience that unless he raised $8 million by that March, God would "call him home" (a euphemism for death).
How about Martin Luther King (1483-1546): According to one authority, Luther ventured to predict: "For my part, I am sure that the Day of Judgment is just around the corner. It doesn't matter that we don't know the precise day... perhaps someone else can figure it out. But it is certain that time is now at an end."
Read all about it here:
Oh yeah, didn't God speak to Joseph Smith, founder of the Mormon Church. He and Brigham Young are both my 22 Cousin 2X Removed.
Smith had many visions: His first:
As he later recorded the experience, Smith said that as a 14-year-old in 1820 he had received a theophany, an appearance of God to man, an event that Latter Day Saints commonly call the First Vision. Wonder of God told Brigham Young it was OK to have 53 spouses?

More on our President Barack Obama and his family history here:
We are who we are as a result of not only all those who have gone before us (our ancestors) but also the environment in which we are raised and live in. It is not just a black or white or even a gray issue here.
There are so many fascinating stories for each of us when looking back at our own ancestry!
