All DNA Traces Back to Original African Black Man and Woman

There are 1108 comments on the www.cameraontheroad.com story from Jun 19, 2009, titled All DNA Traces Back to Original African Black Man and Woman. In it, www.cameraontheroad.com reports that:

The practice of using DNA in genealogy was started in 2000 by Family Tree DNA, a Texas-based group that is affiliated with the University of Arizona, where all its tests are performed.

It now houses the largest database of DNA in the country, with more than 100,000 records…Tests can place a person’s genetics into one of several ancient migrations of humans from Africa.

According to the National Geographic Web site, scientists call the common male ancestor “Adam” but point out that he was not literally the first male human. Instead, Adam, who lived in Africa 60,000 years ago, is the only male whose descendants survived to the present day.

“It’s well-established science that we’re all related to the same black man and woman out of Africa about 200,000 years ago,” Miller said. “I’ve had some people get angry at me for telling them that in my DNA seminars. It’s a very touchy subject.”

Money is the Power that Drives our Society to almost devastation! The whole exploitation of people in general has been motivated by making a profit? All races, all creeds, all colors, have been exploited for profit? Just look at the history of women in general all over the world were sold for a monetary profit? And man when he was purchasing had his preferences on what type he wanted right? But Man himself has been exploited by man (any man no matter what color), in all areas where he is able to turn a profit, and or gain power. This is the Way of the World! Music, Movies, Viagra, but mainly SPORTS! Look? Basketball? It just happens to be that Black Men are tall and can play basketball very well? It won't take a rocket scientist to see how this is a business? In reference to this in the 80's when the EOE had a surge of power and basketball was a focus for money making ventures in the schools, and the ad companies, major cities, and small towns? It brought revenue! Lawyers, Mgrs., even the ticket teller? It made a huge profit and then in the 90's went sky high with the Michael Jordon enterprises? eh? ha ha There you have it! Now wonder if he was white? Man would have exploited him the same way! No difference! That is why they lower the curiculem in the schools for the future? If our world had to slow down to let the rest catch up with us then SO BE IT! As long as it is non-violent without racism, without Wars, and without HATRED!Then there is no blame and there isn't a reason for all of this ANGER?

Lower scores by blacks and "hispanics"... I would suggest that the factors responsible are SOCIAL, not CULTURAL. Mexicans, for example, come from a background of being peons in the essentially feudal Mexican system set up by the Spanish, in which they often receive only 2-3 years of education, and were never led to believe that education was a way to success.

Black Americans... well, must I point out the history of slavery and Jim Crow? In the post-Reconstruction era, KKK terrorists singled out the SCHOOLTEACHERS (white or black) teaching black people for extermination. The system for a long time was set up so that even with an education a black person could not get a decent job, the only exception being a minister, doctor or dentist serving only black people.

These are SOCIAL factors. The poor schools in poor neighborhoods are also social. They are caused BY THOSE IN POWER; they do not come out of the CULTURE of the oppressed people involved.

This is why I object to Magic's rap about culture.

When a Man wants a woman for his Pleasure he has his preferences? Even in his Fantasies? eh? ha ha We all know of Kings having 145 wives? Solomon for instance? All races, and religions as well? ha ha He was a frolicking chap eh? But that is how he kept the peace in his lands by marrying the daughters of the other KINGS? haha, sorry can't stop laughing? What a guy! However he did not discriminate in his women? And most men are the same in that way? Why is it then we have such a problem with race? Because of Man! Not women? Women never ran this world into a muck! Man did! Man wanted a woman he took her no matter what she was! Domination, Dominion, Man has his WAYS! And they're not pretty? But we must push forward and realize this and stop blaming WHITEY!, Blackie, Chinese, whoever! It is MAN!

Ok, but don't you think that 'our' social prejudices take place due to 'cultural' differences that we don't understand? I know that I look at things from different cultures and think 'OMG, how weird' or whichever word comes to mind. I don't think that the people are inferior to me but they live a different lifestyle.

I must be missing something because I sure haven't seen any racism. I'm originally from Georgia and if you wanna talk racism, I can probably do that all night. It's still pretty bad down there. From both sides.

Every culture is different? We share one common denominator and that is we are human beings, hopefully we try to get along and treat others with respect as a human? But it is apparent that there are more cases of abuse in these situations, as well as abusive parenthood as well? Recently we have all read about the passing of Michael Jackson, His father for instance was a very extremely abusive man to his children? And yet MJ prospered in his career? Does that make it okay that he was abused? No way! When we as humans decide to try and find a common denominator a common goal to try and agree on something rather than find something to have a conflict over? Unless they are LOOKING FOR TROUBLE? We all agree that we are fed up with racism? And we agree that we are fed up with people taking advantage of the reparations that our government gives? We are fed up with violence, and tyranny, basically a bunch of bullies! So can we agree on this? That we all want PEACE, a good Home, a Free Country, and Good Jobs?

How dare you call Mexicans peons? Everyone is a peon that is not a member of the top 5000 thousand families! And you above all with your condemning comments I would rather be a peon than a self rightious bias person like you, that condemns everyone for their beliefs and you want everyone to adopt yours? Come on? ARe you serious? Go take a Dirt Nap!You are the most negative person on here! There is hope for those that wish to find the time to comprehend the meanings of others? Compromise is how our country was built! The USA, you know the Yanks as you put it? And we compromise all the time I am proud of my people here as well as you should be of yours? But not to the point of a Sword!

Spain being one of the most educated in Europe at one time, had supurb education and carried it to America, with Chris Columbus remember? ha ha Ish Tov and his theories? They carried it to Mexico as well and certainly I think the Mexican People will laugh when they read his blog? They are home schooled for their needs to fit their culture? They have made it for centuries without any help to feed their people on Pesos? ha ha So what does that say for the rest of the world? Yes they haven't got the advanced technology everywhere yet but they soon will and I bet the fact they are hard working and religious, and home bodies, will set a fine example for this world and I am proud to be their neighbor!I will be that Ishy has not ever been to Mexico ever? hmmm?

I simply object to the notion of superiority and inferiority when it comes to culture.
Many of you think that industrialization and urbanization produces "superior" cultures... and that those unadapted to such conditions are "inferior".
I will assert that I would rather live among the non-urban Plains "Indians" than in a USA city in the 1800's... I could never see the Lakota or Cheyenne as "inferior" to the "civilized" people of the cities and slave plantations.
TESTS are not a good measure of success in college. I taught college courses, and what I observed is that many of the affluent whites were lazy asses who had their frats steal the exams so they would all pass...while the Affirmative Actions students (mostly black and Mexican, but including a few Armenians and other groups) busted their butts, participated in class, talked to me after class, showed up for pre-arranged study sessions, etc.
I'll take a class full of AA students ANY DAY to the spoiled arrogant mis-behaving rich brats who were mostly white.
Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but what I am about to say will prove that you are making an ill informed judgment on cultural relativism, and you have a limited view of culture to begin with.
I would assert that when you say you would rather live with plains Indians you did not mean as a woman, traded by your father for a horse, or a blanket. Nor did you man as an Arapaho or Cheyenne captive of the Sioux. And of course you probably never considered the fact that you’re dirty but would frequently be crawling with lice, you would be suffering from multiple infections and injuries, and when you got to old or injured to carry your load you would be left behind when a camp moved on.
As Far as your Classroom Experience. Now their you go falling back on race, I will bet, just as you probably did not have an example of Trailer Park Culture (Merit level: Low) in your class, nor did you have an example of thug Ghetto Culture or Barrio Fronchi (Merit Levels: Low). You actually had, regardless of race, a fairly homogenous culture in your classroom. I will even venture to say that your rich white lazy asses more typified "Thug" Culture, in manner and form, than your black students.
Now let me guess You teach either : History, Sociology, or even worse, Cultural Studies. Maybe English Literature. But please don’t tell me you are actually in a hard Science, I will have lost all hope in the state of Higher Education in America, and send my children to Korea for College.
And you have pretty much established that for you, race and culture are inseparable, which is the depth of ignorance. Content of Character, not Color of skin.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR THIS BLOG! It pleases me and I am sure many others as well that are Native to find someone who really has an insight to our people and culture and knows how hard we had it as well! You should be a teacher if you are not one already? The contents of your blog is very astute, and certainly with wisdom? Yes I agree I will join you in sending my children as well to Korea if this ignoramous is a teacher? Opinions are wonderful, but the ego, and the prejudice over shadows the subjects, and the issues become dissolved in the process? They are tainted with fantasies and the unwillingness of most to stand corrected or receive knowledge from others is the real problem in our educational systems. It is obvious from these blogs, with all the arguments? Hard headed people and unwilling to change, for they don't want to look like they are stupid? ha ha I admit being wrong all the time about certain things? But relish the fact that I can learn the right way sooner than later with an open mind.

You are funny? No not really, it is really surprising to me how many people have watched these old westerns, and saw the onesided situation with the so-called Cowboy and Indians? And yet with all the info out there today? You would be surprised they don't know what a Cheyenne is or a Souix? and that Souix is the whiteman name "meaning the enemy" The Souix is my tribe? ha ha "Lakota", we have our history with the brainwashing, the myths, and certainly some are very prejudice, others gave up and don't care,(that is pathetic) and the rest well, we adapt and IMPOVISE! ha ha

Power 1 makes the usual accusations against other cultures based on their past behavior. Yet at the same time, how was "white America" behaving? LOL Just as badly.

People, for example, criticize the Aztecs for brutality. Yet when Cortés arrived in México, Europe was deep in the Inquisition! LOL

Natives traded SLAVES? Was that your criticism? LOL I'm so glad the USA didn't do that.

In fact, the studies I'm thinking of related to HEALTH. Plains Indians had better health than poor white or blacks in the USA at the same time.

I think it is obvious why this is true.

Native societies in what is now the USA were far less violent, per capita, overall, than those of Europe. But they were also healthier, generally.

LOL... so what do the Tocharians have to do with anything in this discussion? You moron, you got that from STORMFRONT and think it means something.

The Aryan Tocharians lived in northwestern China, yep. So what? Aryans were all over Central Asia.

What does this have to do with the origin of humans in AFRICA which was LONG before that time? Nothing.

No actually, Souix is the Cheyenne name for enemy. Because no matter who you are dealing with, their name themselves was invariably "People" or "uman" while their name for others was usually something along the line of 'Enemy" "Barbarian", "Eaters of dirt/dung/babies" It is a universal commonality.

You have a lot of crap, and once again you are the one fixated with race. Makes me wonder. You never mentioned what your Doctorate is in, enlighten us. Also, you’re "Race".(There is only one race, which was the point of the article.) I picture some sloppy ol white guy struggling with the guilt of having grown up in an upper middle class household, who despite his advantages, ended up instructing commercial art classes at a Community College, suffering from envy of others who actually are teaching in Universities, trying to emulate those who actually teach at the Higher institutes of indoctrination. He is fairly well read as far as Science magazines and National Geographic (On Line), but has never gotten a third of the way through and actual printed book; so he knows a few of the latest facts, but is not quite clear on how those facts were determined or the THEORY resulting from those facts. Face it, regurgitating left wing elitist pap and slurping starbucks does not a scholar make. But you may well be considered an intellectual. That is not a particularly bright group of individuals. Oh and little test, How many people died in the inquisition? You can add the Spanish and the Papal inquisition together if you wish.
