To all who read this article; racist, bigoted, and misinformed comments are uncalled for. My People traveled over 300 miles to be there at Point Lobos State Park, so we could share our culture with the people within the area. I, personally, met a family of 4 from Germany, who's 8y/o son was very informed about Native Americans. To see and read comments, such as EX-DRIVER. Make me wonder, how other individuals see Native People. Just as He or She (Ex-Driver), looks to provide for his/her's family though employment or running his/her own business. The same principle applies to Tribes & their governments, it is known as the right to "self-determination" . Sure, there are many negatives in all enterprises, just look to the oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, what happened earlier this year. Also occurred several times over the course of maybe 35 yrs. Yet, it provided jobs for persons like "ex-driver", and no one said, "shees, next the Drivers want to form a collective (union). What next?!?!?!" Do you know that there are only three ways to acquire land: 1) you can buy it; 2) you can inherit it, or; 3) You can steal it (morally & ethically wrong). Now my people never sold their ancestral lands or gave it away, so tell the world how the land is no longer ours, but yours'????? Then go moan and agitate about what Native Americans want. To all: may you live in harmony with all creation, and thank you for that special day at Point Lobos State Park. I met so many truly sincere humans.
