Help with a pattern

I downloaded a pattern with these instructions:
With A, ch 122.
Row 1 (Right Side): Hdc in 2nd ch from hook, ch 2,*draw
up loop in same ch as previous st, skip next ch, draw up
loop in next ch, yo, draw through all loops on hook – Cl
made, ch 2; repeat from * to last 2 chs, draw up loop in
same ch as previous st, skip next ch, draw up loop in next
ch, yo, draw through all loops on hook – 1 hdc, 60 ch-2
spaces and 60 Cls
It also has special instructios:
Cl: Yo, draw up loop in same ch or ch-space as previous
st made, skip next ch or st, draw up loop in next ch or chspace,
yo, draw through all loops on hook.
I chained 122 stitches, turned, did the HDC in the second stitch from hook. Now this is my question. The row instructions say to draw up a loop in the same chain as previous stitch. The special instruction say yarn over. If I do the first, I end up with 3 loops to pull through at the end of this CL stitch. If I YO, then put a loop through (which is how I read the special instructions), I end up with 4 loops to pull through at the end of the CL stitch.
What is the correct thing to do?

i would do the actual CL "special" instructions , the person might have forgotten he YO stop within it.
