Hi,
I recently found a baby afghan that is half completed. I think the pattern is a sc, 1/2 dc, dc, ch 1 in each space from previous row across until the end of the row. I can not figure out how the end of row and turn is supposed to be? Kind of looks like a shell pattern. Anyone have a pattern like that? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I am crocheting a jacket that is worked in a round. I have the back done and now am trying to figure out the side panels. The pattern tells me to: continue to work only over 79 tr in each side. Do not work over 35 tr at top and bottom. I am at the starting point of insert marker after 23 sts in from each side 33 between markers. Question is do I turn the piece and start my rows there or what do I do? Help me :)

Hi, I am crocheting a baby's shawl from a pattern called Crochet with Peter Pan 519. I have done all the squares and the one side of the border.
I have joined all 8 of the squares to the border as instructed
Right now I am stuck as im not sure what it means when the pattern is telling me to crochet to end of pattern. I am stuck where at the end of the row it tells me to sl st into 2nd st along side edge of square, Then to turn?
Could you help me please?

I was writing in hopes that maybe I could get some assistance with this pattern I am working on. I am relatively new to crocheting, but figured if I know how to knit, crocheting should not be too difficult. With this being said, I do tend to run into snags with reading the patterns. I am presently working on a "Brim Hat for Him" by Sharon Mann, that I found on Favecrafts.

I am having problems with Round 9: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), dc in same space, dc in next 7 sts,[2 dc in next st, dc in next 7 sts] 54 sts.

If I just finished round 8,and am about to go into next stitch in order to start the ch 3 I need to have a slip stitch or some sort of stitch in order to start the ch 3. Otherwise if I was to ch 3 right after my last stitch in round 8, that would mean I would be chaining 3, and a dc in that same space ? I may be making this sound confusing(it is confusing lol). I really would appreciate help understanding this round. HELP!

Hey guys. Opening this topic for new question if it's okay.

I'm in progress of translating crocheting pattern for my work and I'm stuck at this:
R7: sc36
R8: sc36
R9: sc36
R10: sc36

I know the R's are rows and sc means single crochet, but I have no idea what this pattern tells me to do here. Do I have to make 36 single crochets or single crochet in thirtysix? I have no idea. Rest of the pattern is pretty straightforward.

Thanks in advance!

I am new to this and am trying to crochet a dog leash but am very confused about how to start the slip knot on the ring of the fastener so I can sc the length of the leash. Does someone have a picture I can see or some way of describing it that is clear enough for a crochet dummie like me? Lol
