Illegal aliens *should* be scared. They don't belong here, thus they shouldn't be taking showers here or sending their brats to school here.

If every state made (and enforced) laws like this, they sure as hell *would* be leaving, just like they have been leaving Alabama.

Attrition through enforcement! It works!

No one said we can get rid of all of them, but we can make say 75% self-deport if we just take away the incentives to come here. Illegals are an easy problem to solve.

Despite the harm caused by a harsh immigration law in the neighboring state of Alabama to illegal aliens.

What's wrong with enforcing the law? If it were up to me, i would pick up illegal aliens off the street and have them deported within 72 hours.

Americans do not want illegal aliens in the country.

Exactly....anyone who entered this country ILLEGALLY should not be entitled to a deportation hearing.Lets save deportation hearings for those who were legally admitted but have now commited a crime and a desision needs to made on whether they should be allowed to stay or not.

Make that "Illegal alien". The word immigrant implies something legal.

ILLEGAL, or unlawful, is used to describe something that is prohibited or not authorized by law.

ALIEN, a non-citizen inhabitant of a country = Illegal Alien!

Sounds like a plan! Fear is good, illegals will be on the run, yet again. Why don't they get it throught their dense skulls that Americans are fed up by their presece and entitled attitudes. We cannot continue to support pur families as well as theirs. Mississippi schools do not need the added problems that the influx of illegals bring to the mix. Money is tight, and it should only be spent on Mississippi's children, not that of the interlopers.

WASHINGTON

George W. Bush isn't the first Republican president to face a full-blown
immigration crisis on the US-Mexican border.

Fifty-three years ago, when newly elected Dwight Eisenhower moved into the
White House, America's southern frontier was as porous as a spaghetti sieve.
As many as 3 million illegal migrants had walked and waded northward over a
period of several years for jobs in California, Arizona, Texas, and points
beyond.

President Eisenhower cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and
decisively with only 1,075 United States Border Patrol agents - less than
one-tenth of today's force. The operation is still highly praised among
veterans of the Border Patrol.

In 1954, Ike appointed retired Gen. Joseph "Jumpin' Joe" Swing, a former
West Point classmate and veteran of the 101st Airborne, as the new INS
commissioner.

Then on June 17, 1954, what was called "Operation Wetback" began. Because
political resistance was lower in California and Arizona, the roundup of
aliens began there. Some 750 agents swept northward through agricultural
areas with a goal of 1,000 apprehensions a day. By the end of July, over
50,000 aliens were caught in the two states. Another 488,000, fearing
arrest, had fled the country.

By mid-July, the crackdown extended northward into Utah, Nevada, and Idaho,
and eastward to Texas.

By September, 80,000 had been taken into custody in Texas, and an estimated
500,000 to 700,000 illegals had left the Lone Star State voluntarily.

Significantly, Currie is a member of the organization State Legislators for Legal "Immigration (SLLI), an anti-immigrant group of 65 lawmakers whose members “have promoted conspiracy theories about supposed government concentration camps and a coming one-world government, as well as false claims that President Obama is a foreigner and a Muslim.”

SLLI also touts its “working partnership” with the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), an anti-immigrant group designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Southern Poverty Law Center?? LOL!!!

Quote:

"The Far West Regional Office of the National Council of La Raza, a known
racist organization (La Raza, literally translated, means 'the race'), is
based in Phoenix, Arizona.

Yet this known racist organization is not listed
on the SPLC hate map.

Neither are any of the other eight regional offices,
two of which are based in California. The confrontation, on February 4,
2008, between CNN's Lou Dobbs and Janet Murguia, president and CEO of the
National Council of La Raza, aired live for all to hear (transcript read
here, live segment heard here).

It became readily apparent, during the
segment, that Murguia believes anyone who does not agree with her
pro-illegal-alien agenda should be denied their first amendment rights and
their second amendment rights; repeatedly claiming, without substantiating
her claims, that those opposing illegal-aliens in the U.S. are armed
vigilantes who spew hate.

Rather sounds like the SPLC whom Murguia
referenced repeatedly as the source of much of her vitriolic claims.

Neither is The Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF)
listed with seven regional offices, nation-wide.

The co-founder of MALDEF,
Mario Obledo, has stated, "California is going to be a Hispanic state and
anyone who doesn't like it should leave." Now, if that isn't racist, what
is?

Also not listed on the SPLC website as a hate group is the Progressive Labor
Party of California, a pro-illegal-immigrant communist group who has started
at least one violent confrontation with anti-illegal-immigrant groups
gathered to peacefully demonstrate and request redress of grievances with
their government.

These are just three pro-illegal-immigration groups that do not appear on
the SPLC "hate map". There is undoubtedly many more
anti-American/pro-illegal-inva sion-of-America/pro-Aztlan-ove rthrow-of-America
websites that do not appear on the SPLC "hate map."

Why not?

"When Alabama schools began enforcing the same policy, students with immigrant parents were terrified. Many stayed home, and more left Alabama schools permanently as their families fled the state."

That is why all states need to pass laws like this. Pushing criminals out of the state and hopefuly the country can only benifit America. So far it has been an overwhelming success in the states that have started enforcing the law.

I'm sure you don't give a rat's ass about "the law". Just admit you're a bigot, like that creepy woman from Mississippi, and the rest of the "law-abiding" creeps on this thread.

If there's a God, I've got a suggestion for Him. Get all the ignorant and revolting haters out of politics.
