JFK perhaps was the first President who was sympathetic to racial discrimination, but to take a large stand on the issue was very unwelcomed.
Though because he was born rich and white upper class, Kennedy was a intellectual white liberal who felt blacks deserved equal rights but that it would not be for generations.
It was never "forced" I can never understand why many brown people believe all white people hate them and thats a horrible way to live. JFK wanted equality for everyone but was to busy with the Cold war
