Rape is never justified, and although there are pornographic forums and Web sites that portray rape because there ARE sick people out there who like the idea of rape, making a game about it where children could play it and get their hands into this sick crime is something that should most DEFINITELY never been created in the FIRST place!

Freedom can be double-edged, sad to say.

U.S. games like Grand Theft Auto has been sneaking stuff by parents for a long time now. Killing of cops, strip clubs in video games, prostitution etc.

Sad thing the game has sold so many copies because parents are buying the game.

Our kids can't play with games like this in our homes unless we let them. And know the parents of a child you kid visits.

Oh yes, they would. There are way too many idiot parents that would buy the game for their kids. If not, they'd get it some other way.

wow...I read the description of the game...kudos to Amazon. Unfortunately, I think the game makers are going to get exactly the type of publicity they want and people will look for this game elsewhere on the internet.

The same kind of clueless, indulgent nitwits that buy their kids alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, and anything else they want. The parents that have no responsibility, or boundaries. The parents who are more concerned with being the "cool" parent than what's best for their child.

You'd be surprised. It is no different that underaged children obtaining alcohol or cigarettes. All it takes is an adult willing to obtain the material for the child, and children are more capable of hiding things from their parents in this generation because all too many times their lap tops and gaming systems are behind closed doors in their bedrooms or on the bus while the parents are working or otherwise.

Alright, just a few things.

To all those people who think Grand Theft Auto is "a bad influence" or "teaching kids to do wrong things"

WHAT THE HECK IS YOUR PROBLEM?

It's a GAME! What, do you really think some little kid is going to grow up to beat up random people, kill cops, and date hookers, JUST because of Grand Theft Auto?

But in a more relevant note...

As a gamer, anime, manga, and japan fan in general, I know that there's a large market for games like this, in particular some teenagers and men around 20-30.

And how they get the game in the first place

A. They're 18 or older (duh)

B. Some stores, both in real life, and online, are very lax about who buys what.

and C. There's the possibility that they have an older friend, who either already has it, or is convinced into buying it, without knowing what it is.

Yes, these kinds of games are sick, twisted, disgusting, other synonyms for fucked up. But no, they're not going to stop being made. You should at least be thankful that Amazon was smart, and pulled it off.
