Firstly I wondered what Satori was as it was used in several reviews of anime, and exploration of Satori on the Internet demonstrates that there are numerous Uses for the word.
Your petty insults demonstrates more about you than the few words you picked up out of a book.
You obviously try to demonstrate to people that you are some wise Zen philosopher but the fact that you resort to insults proves otherwise.
Your a small petty man and you know it. Trying to put another down to make yourself appear above is very from anything Zen.
What "petty insults"!?

I WAS BEING NICE.

Where, in my rebuttal, did you find, so grievously, to take a victim's offense!?

You know, for someone who at first sounded very sure of him/her self and who apparently 'thinks' he knows 'a thing or two' about ANYTHING, you sure did fold and retreat to your craven shell from whence you now feel confident enough to feign some pretentiously 'wizened' and even 'Zen' inspired retort.

I say "fold and retreat" because that is really all that you have done.

Instead of trying to show whatever fault might lie in the message, you now try vainly to show fault in the messenger.

Now, with what instrument have you so desperately attempted to 'wound' me if not through your foolish attempt to show that you have a 'Zen stream' that sports a more 'robust' and 'wizened' flow!?

Could you possibly be any more silly!?

WHERE, in any of my post have I alluded to a mastery of Zen!?

Did I not merely speak of but a facet of life, which, though given great deference in Zen study, is NOT beyond the reach of any who might chance upon it!?

Was this NOT the very thing from which YOU chose to launch your first attempt at opining here, and with which I have JUST CAUSE to take issue!?

BTW, this response to you has triggered yet another "Satori" in me.

I too have Read Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and exploration of what Quality is still inspires me.
Objective vs. Subjective and quality is neither, it is the moment.
Zen is the moment.
You can't understand Zen by reading books and trying to prove to others you memorised a bunch of words.
I would almost bet you engage in eastern philosophy as way to escape the failure in your life. You have tried desperately to prove to the reader that you are a wise master of some enlightened understanding but your actions tell a very different story.
I am sorry for you.
STILL NOT A REBUTTAL!

Still you show that you must have been intimidated by my merely having only peripherally expanded on a token facet of Zen.

I have never made an effort to study ANY philosophy let alone any Asian one.

It certainly didn't come to me from any extensive reading, that, if I were to know what YOU meant by your OWN use of that word, "Satori", it would be well advised of me to be looking up the very DEFINITION of the word.

This is so, especially if I felt as though it was incumbent upon ME to form a rebuttal, which I did, and apparently very successfully too, since you've yet to form a rebuttal, and it is and was obvious that you foolishly chose to use a word like "Satori" when you lacked any knowledge of its true meaning until I easily informed you of it.

I merely brought it up to show how hopelessly absurd it was of YOU, to use that word as if it were a quality to which "dubbed anime" could afford greater access.

'Enlightenment', apparently, is something which your cockamamie approach to the 'workings' of the concept Zen will never afford one such as YOU.

Hell, I don't claim to know, but it does seem to me that probably even I, when I was merely
4 & 1/2 years old child, might possibly have SHÍT more "Zen" than YOU will ever hope to exude.

May I interject? I think you're both arguing about something that doesn't really need to be argued about.
From what I understand about your argument, you're talking about how the other person isn't "Zen" or that they're full of themselves for insulting you and defending themselves. And if you either of you actually were philosophers, or zen masters, than I'd understand.
But seeing as how you're both probably just random people, arguing on an obscure forum over the internet, who will likely never actually meet in real life, this argument is pointless.
Just saying.

...or backup response #2:

Gee, thank you,'Alice', that was very nice.

•••

'I'm sure I'm very sorry,' was all Alice could say; for the words of the old song kept ringing through her head like the ticking of a clock, and she could hardly help saying them out loud:

Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Agreed to have a battle!
For Tweedledum said Tweedledee
Had spoiled his nice new rattle.

Just then flew down a monstrous crow,
As black as a tar-barrel!
Which frightened both the heroes so,
They quite forgot their quarrel.'

Subtitles aren't so bad. Plus it's japanese how the hell are you supposed to understand it? O.o and you cant get english dubbed on all websites, even if you can most of em' are crap cause there's too many ads and its too slow. Chia-anime's probably the best though...

Hmm, it's been years and I still don't like subtitles, I mean unless the anime isn't getting dubbed I'm not watching it. For instance I wasn't going to watch Attack on Titan until it got dubbed. Luckily it did and it's airing on Toonami May 3! I can't wait!

I hate subs! And cannot stand dub's because I always tend to like the orginal Japanese voices. But if I have watched so much anime the in the last 12 years (since i was 4) that I've come to understand the different animes w/o subs.

That sounds like bs, context is important with it's understood by voice or seen and read. Unless you actually know Japanese or have some odd translator in your head.

I don't hate sub's because there are times when the English dub is awful or the dub hasn't come out for a certain show. I don't see whats so special about Japanese dub either
