Every society always has its own problems. Yet not all living in such violent societies are bad or are criminals. The bad ones are always in the minority. In my own society, a developing country, the menace of armed robbery seem to be on the decline but more worrisome now is suicide bombing , a horrifying alien style of revolution against constituted authority, mainly carried out by rather one sect who claim to be a religious organisation. However armed robbers or drug cartels are lazy people who pride to live above their means and all such people need is ethical re -orientation. They should be made to understand that money is only a means but never an end to itself. It is valueless when people know you are rich as an armed robber or a drug cartel. Such attribute is surely a vice even in societies where people adore money. The issue of crime and drug cartel in latin america may be a spill over effect of that in colombia and such should not be allowed to be a culture. Mexico and brazil are quite advanced societies that their govts should be able to curb the menace.
