There have been at least 15 homicides since Friday and more than 1,100 homicides this year alone in Juárez. By comparison, there has been one homicide in El Paso this year.

That alone speaks volume.
Unbelievable.

the same as when the news of the femicides slowly leaked out from la ciudad
there is no up side for the authorities on either side of the border to give accurate numbers
industrial and commercial interests lose $$$
in the past when narcofosas were found officials in mexico,in chihuahua,in juarez did everything they could to stop any investigations
there was a well known rancho de muerte discovered, families with pictures of their missing went there and waited outside the walls until the mexican military closed down the investigations and made people leave
with the femicides, the women were deemed insignificant, mostly from the yucatan or vera cruz drawn by jobs --a cost of commercial expansion
now the cover story is the dead are all tied to a 'cartel war' and are responsible for their own situation, along with the USA for its drug demand
there are wealthy and politically connected people on both sides making $$$ tied to the smuggling corridor(smuggling everythig) drug use in juarez and mexico(has always been there) is exploding.despite ?increased? efforts to combat it USA use grows as does canadian, europen, asian.
oh well as long as someone is making $$$
in the last week one story says border is safe as is much of mexico..mexico is in a political, economic, social CIVIL war.high powered, military grade weapons are easily available from many sources
maybe the 2012 presidential elections will bring a salinas de gotari(behind the scenes) led PRI party victory and all out social cleansing ,one or two mega cartels (taxed by the goverment)and a return to a feudal society easily ignored north of the border and in european and asian business/industrial circles

I see all the pointing fingers are popping up on these posts. The problem with the border is both the USA and the Mexican governments can't do a thing about it except have the rightwing point finders.

For example, World opinion doesn't think Mexico is a dangerous place, not like some cities in the USA which are classified as the most brutal in the world.

One example brings to mind. There are approximately 100,000 children being kidnapped, missing, abused, murdered and nothing is said about it by the US government. And that's not counting the women, which suffer even a greating threat.

In fact, in the political arena itself, there is more hatred toward each other in the US than in any other country in the world.

Of course, the right wing corporate newsmedia which the right wing bigots rely on won't say a thing about it.

As a capitalist, there would appear to be opportunity in BOTH the casket and funeral businesses.

One solution to the problem would be:
Anyone seen or caught with an illegal firearm, just put them in a wood chipper.

No funeral, no casket, no identity. Makes REALLY rich soil, too!

Just one more reason to stay away from Cinco De Crapo
Juarez Mexico.

Have no sympathy for those that hear the news, decide
to go to party and end up with lead poisoning.

The only question is what will this oaf in office do
when rounds start impacting in El Paso?

Last week President Obama and HLS Czar Janet with the FBI said the US/Border is SAFE ! Last week we got: White House Media Saying the US/Mexican Border is Safe. What we really have is: OBAMA LIES, A BROKEW BORDER, and a President that will not protect America or the Legal Citizens of America. It's time To Impeach Obama, and Fire HLS CZAR Janet ! We Have A Clear And Present Danger with Obama !

Just a few days ago, they published an article saying that the violence on the border was not so bad. Now they publish this. It makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?

I bet that if you read both articles again, slowly this time, you'll be able to distinguish the difference, Fred.

Who cares? You guys all suck with your bantering and finger pointing. What a bunch of schmucks!! All you guys do is spew out of your azzes hoping some other clown with the same political agenda sniffs it coming out of your hole. Instead of being armchair quarterbacks, make a difference in your community by getting of your butts and doing something constructive. Bunch of commies and nazis are you all if you ask me.
