As to the hiring of Lanny Davis by the Honduras coup delegations:

Why would they hire him? He didn't even have success with the Michigan and Florida Clinton delegates. But they think he will be able to convince a country and its government that they should recognize a military coup and its leader Micheletti? Good luck with that.

What is important about this article is that it's another example of the waning support for a corrupt ex-president. Essentially, not everyone is displeased with Zelaya's removal and with good reason.
It doesn't really matter who is doing the lobbying. The fact that people are now speaking out in favour of the action taken by the Honduran government and legal system is what is significant and, despite the initial comments from the Obama Administration, it is clear that their stance has gradually swung to a more neutral position.
Zelaya's time is running short and soon it will be resolved with the true nature of what led him to his fate being made clear to all but the deluded. At the same time, justice in some fashion will have been served.

I think the following sums up the current status of the situation in Honduras, quite nicely:

I think the US Administration knows exactly what it is doing here and , unfotunately, the Left-Wing element of Central and South America are going to play the foil to the US position.

The more extreme the Left-Wing becomes, in word and or deed, the better the US will look.
