The "Wall of Separation" is a joke. This has been a religious country from the start.

I knew the phrase was on our currency but I didn't know it was our national motto.

Ugh, a religious group nearly forced my public high school to display "In God We Trust" all over the place. It was so hard to argue against, but the history of the motto as a deliberately political, anti-atheist, anti-communist statement -- well-presented here -- helped our case a lot.

People have no idea that this is a relatively recent development. Personally, I think it's a bit inappropriate to put one set of religious traditions forward as "our national heritage" or some such nonsense. The whole point of America is that there isn't a state-enforced religion.

That would be the same "Star Spangled Banner" Obama refused to put his hand over his heart for. Instead he folded his hands downward as if praying to his father-the devil. But then again its not really his country anyway.

Go to Phil, PA and do a little History tour my friend ! this Country was founded on Biblical Principles,
Even on Our Liberty Bell is Leviticus 25:10, look around on the web in History & if you can't realize our Country was/is Great because of what it is/was based on, look into the background of The Members whom signed The Declaration of Ind,. They were to of Biblical Principles! But realizing God The Father Gives us Freedom To Chose, Thus Freedom OF Religion, Not Freedom FROM Religion, unfortunately soon we won't be able to call ourselves a great nation, as we go down our trodden sinful path of destruction.

IN GOD WE TRUST has not only been a patriotic tone in this country but it is also a phrase based on our national principles. Many dispute God but they cannot dispute freedom.Abraham Lincoln,George Washington would not mention God if God had nothing to do with this nation. We are to hold up that all men are created equal, and that each pursues their own happiness without disputing the happiness of others.I trust in God that all free and good men will look out for the freedoms of others regardless of our differences. But to argue over a phrase that has not offended many for years-all of a sudden is an offensive phrase to some.are obiviously blind and do not know the truth of America's history. They can deny if they wish, but to deny our past is certainly to deny the future. And our past and our future depends on freedom and to deny freedom is to except tyranny.IN GOD WE TRUST is our motto and freedom is our cause. And there is many patriotic graves that surrounds us that proves that and their mystic chords of memory will never be tarnished no matter who tries to rewrite history.God has the writings on His palm and WE THE PEOPLE must with our very lives, fortunes and sacred honor must never forget it.God will always be invisible to deniers. But never to those who believe and yet have not seen.In Him we trust as we continue to raise the torch of freedom and never let it go dim.God bless America.

I was always partial to E pluribus unum.

Conversely, whats up with the eye in the middle of the pyramid?
