So thats another trillion added to the debt for just the last year alone. That plus the interest on the current debt. If you never get to paying any of the principal on the debt and keep adding to it that is the best way to going broke that I can think of.

Ask all the folks that had the interest only house loans..

The truth is that it's the Democrats who are shutting down the government. They know their allies in the press will help them blame it on the Republicans.

Who elected the Tea Party congressmen in the first place?

Tea Party congressmen from Texas don't care what people in Oregan or New York think.

If ObamaCare and another Trillion dollar deficit budget eventually gets passed, then perhaps they will be blamed for "not doing their job", but their replacement probably won't be to your liking either.

The Tea Party house members are doing exactly the job that their constituents elected them to do. There will always be at least some portion of the house that will make cutting the federal budget and railing against government power their top (perhaps only) political agenda. You just have to accept and live with that. It's what representative democracy is all about.

You'd think that if that was really their purpose in politics, they would have a better game plan than green eggs and ham. No wonder they are failing at it....

Wow. You're correct. I'm a rodeo clown, Obama's worst nightmare.

Sorry, loser, but I actually watch MSNBC, PBS and listen to NPR. Plus a few foreign news outlets.

Nice try, no cigar.

So take the fight to the Debt level resolution. Republicans cannot win all of the fights, but they are supposed to Advise, and Consent. They need to prove to Americans that they are different. They believe is separate government. They believe in the Constitution

Under a trillion in deficit spending for the first time in 5 years. Thats about the time he's been in office right.??
(Another trillion added to the debt again.)

Also remember this time last year when the congress made him give up some spending to pass the CR. Seems the credit should go to the Congress to me.

Now if we can get it back to pre-war levels, so that we are not spending any more than we bring in; that would be something to talk about. The war is winding down right, why isn't the spending coming down?? Go ahead and talk about the economy that libs have been saying is better than ever.

thats good. Next i would try to understand that all the gov shutdown's have been at the hands of repubs. It is their only tatic for fighting the debt and they have failed miserably at it.

They did it under clinton, gave bush a pass and then started right back up with Obama. If you would like, we can go even further back then the clinton years if you would like.

Clueless...

The government shutdown is because the Democrats in the Senate were unwilling to compromise. But since you're a typical childish liberal with your pant down around your butt crack, 3 inches of underwear showing and lots of tattoos & piercing, you don't understand that.

We live in a Democracy. Obama isn't "President for Life" just yet. He's supposed to lead, which includes compromise. But he knows his idiot followers and the liberal press will portray the shutdown as the Republican's fault. We have an uneducated group of voters who vote Democrat just for all the free stuff they expect to get in return. You are probably one of them.
