New York City is a Plantation. The Mayor vows to put shared prosperity above individual success. From each according to his ability to each according to his need. Welcome home Comrade.

This is the United States –

UNITED.

We are all in this together.
“To each according to his ability; to each according to his needs”:- What then if ones abilities are limited and their needs are great? Let’s say that person is a family man or woman with mouths to feed?
It all sounds good until rhetoric meets reality. Then what would you do if you had the power to decide how to handle those people and their children?
And what about a living wage? Are people to squander in poverty because of your definition of their lack of an ability, or because prices skyrocket as the rich get richer off the hard work of others? I think there is a middle ground between the teachings of Christ, the greed of the wealthy and the heartless words of those without empathy for others.

Sadly, in your little world there are only two types of people; and that is why you are so miserable there. What kind of a person thinks that there are only two ways of thinking in such a complicated world. I swear it is times like this that makes me question what is wrong with me to have anything politically in common with a person like you. But I will agree with one aspect of what you said. There are two kinds of people on Topix (at times); the ignorant and the informed. And I know which one that you are.

tone, you've been gone for a few days, and as soon as you get back, you start saying mean things to this lady. I know you are not that kinda guy, you need to ease back a little. She doesn't say mean things to you, so you shouldn't talk so rough with her. Libs are supposed to be the kind and gentle among us, try to live up to that.

It sounds so good. be responsible and get screwed over by evil who uses biblical scripture to destroy Christians while throwing away the rest of the bible. The western world's wealth has been used against itself and now the wraith of vengeance based on irresponsible behaviors are pointed towards anyone who is a Christian. One day the persecution that is taking shape will be the sign of death to anyone who admits to being Christian.

Unless you are ill. or elderly there is no excuse for you to be laying around doing nothing. I doubt even LBJ fore saw a country where people laid around on the dole for generations. As far as the living wage is concerned most of those on minimum wage are already being paid more then their work is worth. They have to be trained to do everything. They have no idea what a days work for a days pay means. The government wants to get them a dollar or two so they will vote for the Democrats in the next election. Unfortunately for the corrupt politicians, they don't vote.

You should have that regret about the first post... about every post that a mentally disturbed fool like you put up on this thread. But as usual, you're just begging for attention desperately looking to offend.

Thank you Comrade, If you can't make it on your own two feet in America, then your worthless to the Country, State, or City. Try to understand that not all people are ever going to be equal. Do I ever think about those in America that live in the ghetto, living in poverty, NO! They have had the same chance as every other average American, to do better for themselves, but it was easier to sit on their AZZ and wait for the government to give them a handout. If you want to see real poverty come to Asia, you make it here on your own or you die and nobody gives two figs.
I am one of those without empathy for those worthless dregs of society. There is no excuse for a person not working in America, there may not be jobs where you are living, or the job that you like, but someplace in America there are jobs. So get off your lazy welfare butt and move.

My man, we do disagree, but you know I like you - you're a funny guy, good sense of humor (sometimes warped - makes it more funny though), but I will tell you flat out, F'K CNUTNIP!

That slimy POS never shows any genuine compassion for anyone - thinks those that can't find work are simply lazy, when I know for a fact that's not the case, counts the dead in Chicago and has stated emphatically to let the "animals kill themselves" - you and I both know EXACTLY what that bitch meant.

Save your chivalry for someone that actually acts somewhat human - that bitch just don't qualify.
