Gettysburg has been a very dangerous place for decades now so why should 2013 be any different?

It won't be any different. Child rapists and molesters, pornographers, pedophiles, you name it, they are concentrated in Gettysburg. It's sickening.

I heard about it by reading the newspaper articles, you can find them online. Search for Gettysburg child molester or Gettysburg child predator and you'll have enough reading to keep you busy for hours. And that's just the recent ones. There are at least 30 convicted child sexual predators in Gettysburg. Those are just the ones who register under Megan's Law. Imagine how many transients and other unsavories just set up shop in town, like the gangs did.

Word is out among violent criminals and child predators: "Come to Gettysburg and you can rape, rob and murder at will."

So what you're saying is you're powerless to stop me? Makes sense, you're powerless to stop the gangs or child predators... You're a powerless local hick who is too worried about what goes on here.

Or should I run to the moderators because you used the word "bit(hes?"

It wasn't any different, the parade had to be cancelled and a state of emergency declared, with snipers in helicopters and SWAT teams on the streets in Gettysburg. The borough and hospital were on lockdown, some say it was a gang incident, but I'm sure it was worse, the car chase was just a cover story. Gettysburg has a ton of problems.

I don't blame you these days. It's gotten so bad that the police will not go into certain areas of Gettysburg without two officers in a squad car. I was told this by a high-ranking police official. I fear that even this won't keep the officers safe, remember that a constable had a gun pulled on him and Wildlife Conservation Enforcement Officer was shot and killed in Gettysburg.

It's flat-out dangerous in this dead town.

As I am a very peace loving, caring person whom HATES to have ANY argument with anyone and never has had so much as a cross word with ANY of my beloved neighbors, I've now begun carrying pepper spray everywhere I go. I can't take my personal safety lightly when I'm jogging the battlefields. I'm never sure if the next person I encounter may be a gang member looking to do me bodily harm.
I hope things change in the near future and Gettysburg can go back to the wonderful community we've all come to know it as.

And so I can identify you and listen to one of your talks, does the Department of Transportation still require you to wear the "wide load" sign on your butt when you are on the roads?

Very good point, I want to make one of her fascinating talks someday, but there are so many fools in those blue shirts talking garbage. I want to hear the truth from someone who knows.

They won't change. The gangs are sickening in the way they will rob, murder, shoot, stab, rape or commit armed home invasions in Gettysburg. It's absolutely disgusting in this POS town.

What a childish remark, but I'll let it pass. Since Gettysburg is my main focus and the WELL BEING of the community and NOT some little nobody who isn't worth the price of a cheap plastic Civil war trinket.
Lucky for me I have deep family ties to the community and the war, and my tiny yet firm heiny is concealed with a period costume as a stroll the battlefields to the delight of the vistors.
Many times I've been told what an asset I am to the community and how my presents is a delight to everyone who vists the community.
I'm ONLY here to protect the history of the area ( which was why I opposed a casino) and be a becon of historical light to all those who come to visit.
