On Sept. 14, 1814, American lawyer Francis Scott Key wrote a poem that would become the national anthem after witnessing the British bombardment of Fort McHenry.

I loved the song the Star Spangled Banner and happy to have it as our national anthem. I was very suprised that Francis Scott Key was not a poet, but a lawyer. The Star Spangled Banner is very exquisite and I hope to research it again whenever I get older, and whenever I will probably have to do a report on it. I send great happiness and greetings saying that this is a very good paragraph on Francis Scott Key and how he came to write the Star Spangled Banner.
