Remember that the 1918 flu was H1N1 strain and so is the current one. So one was Spanish and the other Mexican puercos? Nice way to hide the truth.
Egypt is killing all pigs because it is the swine flu; did they kill all Spanish in 1918? Neither Jews nor Moslems are supposed to eat pork anyway!

Let's see, the title is about preparing for a FLU Pandemic,
and the story is about changes York City went through to avoid spreading FLU in the 1918 Pandemic.
Gee, I guess there's no tie-in there ..... Sheesh! Didn't you even read the story?

The story was about how the flu of 1918 effected efforts to raise money for the war affort. How does that help me prepare for a FLU pandemic?

My grandmother told me to be ready for a pandemic ever since I was a little girl. Now look what is happening, she also told me to start getting ready because the worst of the pandemic is not here yet. She said, "Carmen, you have time to get ready, so start right now?"
