The school (Lafayette)had too many athletes that were not academically elegible, so they did the right thing and cancelled the game. This was on opening day, who are you, Rip Van Winkle?

This was not on opening day, this was the second game of the season, the academics were based on the score from the last quarter of last year. The principal and athletic director in Buffalo should have known this before practice even started! The league could have re-done the schedule. Fredonia lost out on points, they get a whopping 2 points, and loose game playing experience that a team needs, needless to say the seniors miss out on a game. This was a huge mistake made in Buffalo. Yes the principal made the right choice, but a month and a half to late, she dropped the ball here, you wonder at the last minute decision as to whether they were trying to cover something up. In the end players from both team suffered, more so on Fredonia's part.

Buffalo schools did not have their crap together on this one. Lafayette should not have even started the season. They find out the day before the second game that the players had bad grades at the end of last year---what a crock!!!!!!!!!!

Fredonia should never have realigned into that new buffalo area section. By doing so there is no more Fredonia-southwestern rivalry.

Fredonia did not have a choice, they were forced to move. By the way the Southwestern coach is on the alignment committee, You think he wants to play Fredonia twice with playoffs? He wants the south div. all to himself.

Southwestern coach might be on the alignment committee, but so are quite a few other coaches. No way would those other coaches allow him to have it all his way.
