Is he really the first coach at Seymour that needs to go? Lets make win's and losses a side note for a second and see what else coaches need to be doing.

Are the coaches at Seymour:

1. Involves in making sure the youth level on through high school is taken care of so kids are are developing properly at athletes.
2. Actually hold their athletes accountable as students in the classroom and respectable members of society.
3. Caring more about personal accolades and getting credit for developing their occasional top athlete than they do the sport and rest of the team.

Then add in win's and losses after that.

With that being said which coaches at SHS are failing at these things and need to be shown the door? Which ones are doing it the right way and should be given credit for their efforts with our youth?

I haven't had a kid at this school in years, but would like to know the "state of sports" at SHS. What sports programs are doing it right and wrong.

Girls Soccer
Cross Country
Girls Golf
Boys Tennis

Boys Basketball
Girls Basketball
Boys Swimming

I'll even throw in Cheerleading since they compete.

He should go but he definitely should have been the first to go. Hope he won't be the last for awhile.

When's are they going to re-evaluate the value of the basketball and football coaches. I think they are failing at all three of those categories.

Seymour High School sent a flyer stating, "SHS is home to Lloyd E. Scott Gymnasium, the third largest active high school gym in the nation with a seating capacity of 8110". Too bad the gym is less than 1/3 full during home games. Maybe the athletic department needs to take a "new direction" in that area. How long has it been since Seymour High School won a basketball sectional or regional?

Seymour football and basketball is a joke. Most of the athletes dont get on the field or court because of politics. Get rid of the losers in charge. ps.... Mike Lang is a cheater. He dates married women and you trust him to coach your children.

The baseball thing was an inside job anyway not just based on results. The powers that be wanted to see Bowman hit the door and they already had a plan to replace him with his assistant coach. More work by the buddy system than anything else they try to day. Still the same old game that has created some of these other problems.

Seymour cant compete with schools same size as them. They have pretty much sucked since class system has been in. They dont have the smaller schools to pad their record
