The fact that Jacob Mineau accepted this award proves he actually isn't any sort of leader at all.
If Jacob Mineau would have truly been a leader, he would have refused to accept this award from the Times Herald.
The reason for this is because the Time Herald disgraced all athletes in the history of Blue Water Area athletics when incredibly biased sports editor Paul Costanzo GAVE the award for Best Football Player of the 2010 Year to Anthony Scarcelli -- the son of the Marine City coach that editor Paul Costanzo idolizes as a father figure.
This can be proven in a variety of ways:
* Anthony Scarcelli's stats for the 2010 season were only #8 (yes EIGHT) in the Blue Water Area.
* Ryan Fabbri of Cros-Lex had stats that were BY FAR the #1 rated stats
* When Cros-Lex and Marine City played in the playoffs, Ryan Fabbri was a man among boys and dominated Marine City. Rather than acknowledge this fact that was proven by statistics, Times Herald editor Paul Costanzo claimed Anthony Scarcelli probably played in a disappointing way because of an injury.(But what about the rest of the year when Fabbri built up the #1 rated stats, compared to Scarcelli's #8 rated stats).
* Marine City's own players did NOT vote Anthony Scarcelli as the Most Valuable Player on the team!
For God's sake, how in the world can you be the Best Player in the Area when you aren't even the Best Player on Your Team!
Bottom Line: If Jacob Mineau would have truly been a leader, he would have put his foot down and put these bogus awards of the Times Herald out of commission. Mineau would have went and said "Thank You," and then smashed the award into the ground. Afterwards, Mineau would have said "I have no desire to stink up my home with garbage like this coming from biased sources."
