As I stated in an earlier post, Gauchos were going to respect us after the game, I also stated that Banning would show some class after the game. I was proven right. As big as the victory was we did not disrespect the players, the fans and your home turf. All season long we felll short in a lot of games however Pilot Pride is to strong. We could have folded and let the season go to waste, champions never give up, never! It was a hell of a game, both sides played tough and I commend both schools for a great Marine League style of football. Surprising for a home game for you guys, where were your fans, one of your stands was completely empty? I am proud of Banning Fans for their continued support, I know when our players look at the stands and see us out there, that motivates them to try as hard as they can. Marine League is the toughest and will be represented well by fielding possibly four teams in the playoffs. Great game gauchos, I do hope you learn one thing, be humble and respect whomever you play. We know what it is like to be CHAMPIONS and we know what its like to be on the other end of the spectrum, most importantly do not under estimate the heart of Banning. ONCE A PILOT ALWAYS A PILOT, YOU HEAR!

Great post you covered everything that all us true Pilots feel, I was thinking the same thing on the way home lastnight , how respectfull our Team was,,Lastnight, even our Fros/soph team won and celebrated respectfully,Our varsity is small team in size and numbers but we have a Heart of a Lion, with the blood lines of Rich Championship History and they proved it lastnight,Narbonne had a full set of offense and Defense players, while most of our Boyz were playing both ways and were dog tired, I have the up-most respect for our Boyz and I'm very proud of them Narbonne came out with Size,, speed, and what seemed like 3X the number of players, compared to our little team, both on Varsity and Frosh/Soph,,, Narbonne has allot of talent, I seen flashs of greatness and I expect them to pull it together, and get back on track ,,BUT lastnight was OUR NIGHT, I was real happy for our kids we finally got over that hump,I want to congradulate the Frosh/Soph,, and the Varsity for a job well done, and for makeing ALLOT of jaws drop around the League,,,ONCE A PILOT ALWAYSA PILOT,,,THROUGH THICK N THIN........
Did not get to see much of the game but what I did see, was good. The Banning boys came to play and came to win! This was a good solid win for Banning, no one can trash talk this Pilot Victory! WOW,#83 is a girl, I think that is so awsome, What a way to re-enforce what we tell our daughters, "You can do anything!"
Does anyone know how #11 is? "CHS Alumni" Congrds on winning the Marine League Title! You beat Pedro, bet that hurt the Pirates as much as it hurt us last night!

Congrats Pilots! You smashed them Gauchos in the mouth...probably because they were still hurtin from that BEAT DOWN our COLTS gave them, and now you guys have put them to sleep. And it's about time that Coach Ferragamo puts the teams' best athlete at the QB position, your season definitely would've been somewhat different. Anyways good job Pilots, gotta get ready for the playoffs...jus remember this...the road to the Championship...goes through the Mighty Colts...the Marine League Champions (again)...Good luck to the Marine League...Colt luv...

I played for Coach Ferragamo during his first three city titles, and I'm very happy for him. He is a man of honor and a great motivator. Good win Coach! I would like to see the Marine League stay up at the top as one of the toughest leagues, but all the teams must go outside the league for pre-season games. Going outside will help raise their level of play, and help in the rankings for a state bowl bid. Some of the teams have been doing this already, but there are others who are lagging at playing quality programs outside the city. Banning and Carson have been doing it for years and the rest of the teams have to follow too. It's great to win a city title, but it would be even more fun to represent the league in a bowl game. GO PILOTS!!!

There's a shocker. A pedro fan decides to run his mouth on a thread that has nothing to do with what his team did last night. Very classy move.

Congrats to the pilots. Hopefully the Marine League makes a good showing in the playoffs.

I agree ! Let's all get away from hammering each other...We lost to a great Colt team last night...There is no shame in losing to a superior team. Everytime they announced the Banning/Narbonne score everyone on the Pedro side would cheer....Good Luck to all Marine League teams in the Playoffs...Whether you're a Colt, Pirate, Gaucho, or Pilot..You made us all proud for one heck of a season! GO MARINE LEAGUE !

Congrats to Banning on a great victory! Way to show up and throw a monkey wrench into the Marine League standings! I guess all of those posts about heart, tradition, and playing hard to the end are certainly true! They will beat D-1 and NFL talent when it counts the most.
And don't act so surprised when Pedro fans come on "somebody else's" post to woof about a Narbonne choke (again). Yes Pedro did lose last night, but to a superior team, a Marine League champion and probably the odds on favorite to play Crenshaw in the City final this year (and maybe even defeat them) which is far better than not "finishing" against a Banning squad that quite frankly on paper had NO CHANCE against Narbonne!
Now that the regular season is over, I agree with others that it is Marine League all the way. Hopefully we get the top four into the playoffs and wreak some havoc in the City!

I agree with the comments made thus far...whether your a Colt, a Pirate, a Pilot or Gaucho we will continue to support our individual schools, but at the same we all need to support our League...because IMO...it is still the toughest and most talented overall. So good luck to our schools. Good luck to Carson, San Pedro, Banning, and Narbonne...represent!

If anyone hears the seedings from the meeting this morning can you post immediately? I know we will end up in the bottom eight but I am more interested in who we are playing, must be a valley team? San Fernando, Taft, Birmingham, Venice (beach city)!

This comment really speaks for itself, and speaks to all those Pedro fans who like to talk about ``class.'' Funny how those high-horse Pedro fans vanish at times like this. Where are you? By the way, clown, did you miss the Narbonne-Pedro game this year?

Congrats to Banning for a great game and to Carson for the title.

It's time for Narbonne to get a new coach. Too much talent, too many baffling games.
