Can Notre Dame remain a title contender?

Contender, yes, as much as anyone else at this point but we'll all know more come November. I think the Irish are a 10 win regular season team at worst if there are no major injuries or suspensions. I think the schedule is to tough to do what they did last year but last years schedule was a top schedule too. If we had Bama's schedule, I would say without a double a 12 win team, pretty much any team in the top 20 could squeak out at less 11 wins with that schedule. I think we will actually be a better team this year even if the win totals aren't better.

What are you bitching about, having a weak schedule doesn't mean you have a weak team. The fact is though that you have one of the weakest schedules in the Nation. Only one team in the top 25 has a schedule almost that weak. You ought to be happy, you start out #1 even if you lose to the only 2 good teams on the schedule, you would still have 10 wins. Go Irish!

Maybe if they can get some recruits from either of these two teams
