I can see the headlines in December now, "Top seeded Narbonne(12-1)vs second seeded San Pedro(12-1) vie for the 2008 City Championship Title". A crowd of 10,000-15,000 is expected. BE THERE! Go Marine League!!!!

Awesome, us Marine Leaguers know that we have the toughest bunch. Can you imagine semi-finals, consisting of four Marine League teams, unlikely but the Harbor Area will be Rocking. Good luck to BANNING, CARSON, NARBONNE, PEDRO AND YES WASHINGTON. Can you imagine if we get an Allstar team of Marine League players and play all them top ranked schools. We would be high school world champions of course I would have to go with BANNINGS MIGHTY MARCHING PILOTS to represent. Proud to be in the Marine. GO PILOTS GO!

Los Angeles City Football credibility took a BIG step backward when San Pedro was seeded #2. Until San Pedro plays the likes of Mater Dei, Oaks Christian, Orange Lutheran, Corona Centennial, or Long Beach Poly to name a few good competitors instead of the powder puff pre-season schedules the A.D. and coaches seem to muster up year after year, San Pedro will never have the respect of any good C.I.F. school, and you wonder why San Pedro is never on any real rating system such as USA Today. Apparently L.A. City looks at the win-loss records only when seeding teams instead of taking into consideration, the strength of schedules. Anyone can beat new schools or teams with a history of losing records. My pick for City Champ, Narbonne or Carson. San Pedro, true to form, will poop out at "home" even with their "home" advantage which they got due to their high seeding because of their tough (sarcasm) pre-season record. By the way, San Pedro never gets beaten by a better opponent, or poor coaching, but rather by bad officiating. Same broken record over and over.

This papers bias is obvious. You don't say one word about Crenshaw other than they have the potential to be upset. Did you go to Banning? Crenshaw will smash Banning. Remember this number....#16....They will see him, but won't be able to touch him!

Much love to Banning and Carson. We've had our days (and years). But, they just don't have "it" anymore. Whatever that "it" means.
Therefore, I would LOVE to see Narbonne and San Pedro go at it. I've been to thier games over the last couple of years. It's definitely a rivalry similar to those good ol' Banning-Carson grudge matches. Both football squads are highly ranked, both have spirited bands, marching units and cheering squads, and both draw large and passionate fans.

i play for pedro, and if you watched the narbonne game, who had a "very tough schedule" (and who lost to the only tough team in it) we forced a fumble on the goal line, they did not win that game, and we should be seeded 1 instead of 2, oh wow carson played tough teams, but they got their asses kicked! our leauge play showed that we truly deserve to be where we are, and you will see a rematch of narbonne and pedro in the finals in the coliseum, if narbonne can get past crenshaw and birmingham
