Teams from jackson get to many foul calls but they are allowed to beat you to death.Games should be taped and look at by refs outside the area if a coach fills cheated.Over the back is no longer a call in some parts of the state. The dandy dozen list is a joke there are kids out playing them all across the state.Everybody in the state palms the ball but they will not call it on forrest hill point guard.I just want a fair game let the kids decide the outcome not the refs.

I've been to more than 40 games this season. 35 of them were foul calls constantly. How can you have a jump ball four times in a game and only one team gets the ball all four times? How can a player be pushed into the padding behind the goal and fall to the floor and not get a foul? There is to many errors in High School Basketball. Some Refs show not own a whisle or a shirt!!1

Just an FYI, the refs do not determine who gets a jump ball, it is determined by the possession arrow. That arrow they keep at the scoreboard does have relevance to the game. It alternates with each jump ball. The fact that one team gets every jump ball is nothing but coincidence. Nothing wrong with criticism, but it helps to understand the rules first.

I would have to agree with the overall posts concerning the calling and Dandy Dozen and All State lists for basketball players. The last game I coached was called by a referee from the hometown of the opposing coach. He clearly made some calls that were very bad. He along with the other two officials. We played a straight 2-3 zone almost all night and lost five players to fouls and the opposing team played man to man all night and lost only one...a second team non-scoring player. I even asked one ref if a call was incorrect and he agreed..just before he turned his back and ran back down court without correcting it. What a shame. My kids clearly were better prepared but had to go home losers and in tears because of the inferior and blatant biased calling of a few men. I also had one of my players looked over for All State status but another player who she had bested several times was picked because of the poor system that is used. I have moved on to administration now but it would be nice to see some of these officials have their licenses taken away for a year for their inferior calling that decides games. I think this would help to alleviate some of the bias and inferior calling.
