Mamadjonov Stays Unbeaten In Meridian, MS

MERIDIAN, MS - Uzbekistan native and Houston resident Bahdoir Mamadjonov kept his unbeaten intact after winning Saturday's (Jan. 28) "Bangin' at the Frank" main event at the Frank Cochran Center. The card was promoted by Team T-N-T Promotions.
In the 6-round main event, Mamadjonov (142 pounds) won by TKO after his Los Angeles opponent Robert Hill (144 pounds) could not answer the bell for the start of the fifth round. Mamadjonov improved to 8-0, 5 KOs). Hill dropped to 3-16.
The 4-round co-main event saw Meridian super middleweight Tyi "Mr. UnTouchable" Edmonds won a unanimous decision over Baton Rouge's Marcus Clay, who was making his professional debut. Edmonds moved to 1-1 after winning 40-36 X 2 and 39-36.
A 4-round super middleweight scrap saw Jackson's Monyette Flowers (166 pounds) won by KO at 1:38 of the opening round against Laurel's Anthony "Antonio" Adams. Flowers moved to 9-10-1, 6 KOs, while Adams fell to 8-26-1, 1 KO.
Tampa's Emmanuel Flowers (157.5 pounds) knocked out Memphian Anthony Jones (162.5 pounds) at 1:41 of the first round of a bout scheduled for four. Flowers moved to 2-1, while Jones dropped to 0-2.
Meridian's Ken Dubose (170 pounds) won his professional debut by unanimous decision (40-35 X 2 and 39-37) over Long Beach CA's Bryan Brooks, who was 10 pounds lighter. Brooks fell to 0-7-1.
Another Meridian fighter also won his pro debut in a 4-rounder. Tirobio Ball (145.5 pounds) won a split decision over Hattiesburg's Lincoln Bond, who was also making his pro debut. Two judges favored Ball 40-36 and 39-37, while the third judge had Bond winning 40-36.
Marrero, LA's James Harrison won by KO at 1:08 of the fourth and final round over Philadelphia, MS resident Philip Soriano in a welterweight bout. Both fighters weighed 142 and were making their pro debut.
