this is a great hire for connersville and coach brown. he is a good man and a great coach. he has the right attitude and the basketball knowledge to turn the spartans into a winning program again. i know they "win" - but they play every 2a / 1a school in the TEC except winchester and union city (they used to play winchester but got beat so they dropped them)- and a couple of other 1a schools. kerry will toughen up the program, the schedule and the players.

Im not sure he actually hit anyone, but one thing i know for sure is that the man knows how to throw a party for high school kids. I went to school in Rushville and partied at coach Brown's house many times. Its not exactly something i'm proud of now, but is happened alot. He was always kind enough to buy the alcohol. The problem I had and still have is all the high school girls he had sex with. now I'm sure he's grown up alot since than. But if your kids start telling you that they will be at coach Brown's house, watch out... especially your daughters

So "Parents Beware" should be contacted by authorities to see if a crime has been committed because slander is a no no. Better yet, "Parents Beware" should contact authorities so he can also be charged with filing a false report.

You can have kerry brown. his offense is like watching grass grow. single digit scoring in quarters will be a norm. chastised players for trying to dunk the ball. matt howard would have been so frustated in this offense. fans were put to sleep with constant slowing down of the offense.

Kerry Brown at Rushville(with much, much less talent) was beating Matt Howard led teams each year. We believe he gets the most out of his talent.

His record against Connersville is 3-6. I don't think so!! Who is the judge of talent, Mom or Dad?

It really didn't matter who they hired,Rotten Rodney has killed the program to the point where it will take years to get it back to where it should be. Rodney should never have lasted as long as he did. I give the new coach a lot of credit for even taking on this huge challenge.I also would be willing to start a pool to see how long it will take Brett Briscoe to climb up this coaches ass the way he did Rodney.

Yeah I hate coaches to try and win games instead of just trying to score a lot of points and impress the fans. How many coaches would be happy with a player missing a dunk attempt insteading making a layup, esp. when it was a close game?? Ever wonder why a place like SD has had 10 coaches in 30 years. Maybe it's the fans instead of the coaches. The job is open SDFAN, maybe you should apply and be the hero that saves the day for the lowly Knights.

Don't know much about him but I have been attending the HS games for many years and think it was time for a change.
I wish the new coach and the team nothing but the best of luck in the upcoming season!

These statements get more stupid all the time! For one,if you are a "south dearborn" fan, your players stink and there wasnt anybody that could help them score anymore. Howard being frustrated???????? What do you think he was with dipshit klein? Brown can coach circles around klein. He even took one of his crappy SD teams and beat klein once. Brown has done more for connersville basketball at camp in ONE WEEK than klein did here in TEN YEARS!!!!!!!!!!

Heard some of the team went to Marion yesterday to play in a "shootout". Anyone hear how they did? I understand they only had 5 varsity players and the rest were JV and freshmens. I was also told the new coach has them scheduled for three shootouts next week. Sounds like he's getting his program started in the proper manner so he can see who's going to fit into his type of play.

I heard they did well for the short time they've been exposed to his coaching. We will be better than people expect. watch out for an upcoming freshman that can shoot "lights out"

If you're talking about the Black kid (name, not color) he is un-coachable. Says he knows more than any coach can teach him and doesn't think he has to make the grades because he is so good that they'll let him play anyway. What happened with 8th grade basketball, TB?????

I believe he's referring to the Davis boy. He is going to be a very good player but he has had his difficulties with the upper classmen guarding him. I watched the JV play in Liberty last week and they were up by 8 with 2:00 minutes to go and lost and it was I think because of his inexperience. Don't get me wrong he will be a very good player but he need to play with the team and try not to be the "team". There were two other freshmen (to be sophmores) that have looked pretty good also (Brown & Perkins). A friend of mine called me from Richmond last night as the teams played there and C'ville beat Richmond but lost to Muncie Central. He said Hufferd and Hockersmith looked good but the majority of the varsity still isn't suiting up. The new coach has a long summer to go through as most of the players are also playing football. The boys are supposed to play in another shootout at Wright State this Thursday. If I hear anything I'll pass it on.

I've watched the Davis kid, too. He has talent but is not a team player. A cry baby. He better go to JV, for the Frosh coach can't handle him.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Sagittarius

If you have any worries or problems today, a close colleague could have the answers you seek. Work will be satisfying, and anything to do with children should be very rewarding today. There could be friction with a relative, but it's nothing serious and things will sort themselves out in due course. Again, you must pay attention to your health, Saggitarius: skin infections are a strong possibility at the moment.
