Tonsillitus that won't go away!

I had acute tonsillitus about 2 months ago and it was extremly bad. I could not even swallow my spit and I went about 7 days with nothing to eat. It got so bad I developed absyss's in my throat and was spitting up puss for about two days when one night I hocked up a heap of puss and then my throat began to bleed badly for about 5 minutes...I was scared sh@#tless to say the least!

I have since been through 3 different rounds of antibiotics and it still won't completly go away.
The doctor says my tonsils are too small to worry about going to the hospital and having them out...So what the hell am I suppose to do???

I am very worried about taking so many antibiotics...this would have to be bad for you.

Can anyone give me some advice on what to do??

Ive been having my tonsil pains for 3 days now... already I'm finding it hard to swallow my own spit added by this weird cough that really adds up to the pain..intakes seems to be an agonizing ordeal also, and worst i find it hard to speak louder and longer now...i just wanna ask jen when she started spitting pus and please share it to me...honestly im really beginning to freak out. pains too much plus the statements i read from you guys really gets me pale... T,T

my tonsillitis isn't that bad, but my anti biotics don't seem to be making a dent. I'm almost out does this mean I'll have to get my tonsils taken out? I'm a vocalist and its becoming my career, will this completely screw over any singing abilities that I have?
