Murty,
Please help with info.

Some moms talk about "stomach flu".

I think they mean a "stomach virus".

Flu is high fever, body aches and pains, esp. headache, dry cough usually, and it is NOTHING like the upset stomach and diarrhea, right?

Wish they would call it a stomach virus when it is a stomach virus, is what I am saying!

I don't understand why folks refuse to take a flu shot, and then when they get the flu, the first thing they do is run to the doctor's office, whining about how sick they are. PEOPLE, GET A FLU SHOT! GEEZ! It's true, even with the shot, you can still take the flu, but it is a much milder case. And, please, if you do have the flu, stay home! Don't do to the grocery store, WalMart or restaurants. Consider others!

Flu is nothing but a virus and it comes in similar way like an viral fever. Murty is right. The temperature goes high, you'll also feel cold, cough, breaks in legs... Hair Loss, No sleep.. body pain and much more...

But you can avoid it by avoiding to the crowded area. Avoid the roadside food. Carry Hank chief. Don't go too close to the person who have cough and fever.

Single most important action you can do to prevent the spread of flu is wash your hands.

Pharma now has flu vac for dogs. Dogs are now showing signs of autism. Pharma figures since humans don't care that children become autistic from vacs, they won't care if their dogs do either. Do a search of vaccinosis for animals, and VIDS (vaccine induced diseases)

I haven't had a flu shot in nearly twenty years.... I haven't had the flu in nearly twenty years either. most people I know, get a flu shot, within a few weeks they end up getting the flu in varying degrees.
so the flu shot doesn't really matter, besides almost every year I hear about a version of the flu going around that the flu vaccine does not prevent. also, one of the main ingredients of that flu shot is egg, therefore those that are allergic to eggs can't take it.

What vengeance? Are we to believe there is a logical and planned act being committed or is the title just hyping a story?

Go above.
Under the title of thread, click on "Full story: Tomahawk Online".
You will see that it is a hot Feb. 26 story from a tiny town in upper East Tennessee called Mountain City.
You should be safe up there near Winnepeg.

Just the opposite story here. I have taken the flu shot almost every year for fifteen years, and I don't even have colds (knock on wood, then wash my hand).
Instead of hoping everybody else has the shots to keep the flus from being epidemics, I think each one of us should pitch in to help.

A very logical approach. Mine is to understand that I have had many flu-like viruses in my life, but can't tell them from real flu without verification. I've never had a shot, and never will. I think a regular user may think its working, but they wouldn't have had flu anyway. How can you be confident they work? Based on that, I'll pass on possible serious side effects like neurological damage and chronic fatigue syndrome, on Alzheimer's later in life.
