The cigarette companies confessed in court to cigarettes causing cancer. They confess also to hooking teens on cigarettes and they confessed they knew how addictive it was but kept it a secret.

I advised the girl after YOU or your bud telling me I had no right to tell her she should quit smoking. Since you did not like the first advice, I gave her the recommendation she asked for in the first place. She is an adult. Go away TWERP

If this is NOT A JOKE,Then I would highly recommend you NOT STARTING!But since this is FREE COUNTRY CONTRARY TO THE ANTIS BELIEFS YOU DON'T HAVE TO QUIT,I WOULD RECOMMEND STAYING WITH CAMELS OR IF YOU SMOKE MENTHOL KOOL LIGHTS OR NEWPORT MENTOLS.May I ask you one thing? If you're only 18 why would you want to smoke seeing the way the antis treat us smokers which is like shit?Did you know that if you smoke some place will NOT RENT TO YOU OR WILL NOT HIRE YOU?If I would be given the chance to be well i started when i was 15yrs old,I would NOT SMOKE!Please believe any of us smokers who say that it is better not to start,we don't believe in what the antis are doing and we are all against bans which are unconstutional, and down right unamerican but for your own best interests it's better not to start.

The best cigarette for the new smoker is
"NO" cigarette.

I smoked 21/2 pack a day for 25yrs till 5ys ago when I used hypnosis to quit.

Because of my smoking habit, I have acid reflux, besides trouble breathing and lungs that are 80+ yrs old (I'm 40) per my Dr. Which means I already have 1 foot in the hole.

Was I scared then? No. Am I scared now? Yes.

Surprising, my med problems really didn't have much impact on me then until I received a call my mother was dying of lung cancer.Although we hadn't spoken since around 1980, I saw this as a sign. The day she passed, I tried all day to reach her via phone at the hospital(S&S) with no sucess.
One month later, I received a call from a friend telling me a very dear friend of mine had passed...of throat cancer.

I miss my dear friend and think of her almost every day.

I have no medical problems after 40 years of smoking BUT, I am probably an exception. I wish I had never started and now I am an addict who is unlikely to give up.

Given most of the advice on here is from smokers who say not to start, there should be a very clear message to you. Cigarettes in England are now $10 a pack - I roll my own, but that is still £2.50 a day. Do not do it.

Please do not smoke. You're young and why would you want to take a risk on causing possible multiple health problems in your near future. Quit now while you are not addicted. Please find something else to do with your money. If you smoke because you are bored, lonely, sad,"grown" or because your friends do, etc etc find another outlet like a sport or hobby to get involved in PLEASE.

People this isn't a "Should I smoke" forum. It's a "WHAT should I smoke" forum. If you're just going to complain about stopping don't. Just answer the question....I started with Camel Turkish Silvers. I think they are pretty good to start.

Do you realize how big of a dick head you are? Just shut the fuck up. She simlpy wanted a brand name not a rant from an obviously habitual retard. Now as to address the original question, it really does depend on what you're already used to, so like others have said already just ask other experienced smokers or clerks at the places that you buy your cigarettes from, because I've honestly never smoked a camel before so I don't know your taste.

SO hey, out of all you people how many have actually answered your question? Looks like maybe 2ish... the rest was just STOP SMOKING! I understand the point and it's been driven into pretty much every person's mind who walks in a room with 20 people or more. People smoke, doesn't matter why/how/when... people will smoke, people will 'abuse' their bodies regardless of yours/mine/her opinions no matter how weak/strong. So why is it so hard to give this girl an honest opinion? If she wants to smoke, your not going to stop her from miles and miles away if she really wants to.
That being said, I've only bought one pack of cigs, so my experience is highly limited. But my first cig was Kools Menthol, not very popular and not very smooth, but it gives you a nice nicotine high when you first light.
I agree smoking is bad, and logically you shouldn't smoke, there is no gain that can beat death, but it's not your decision whether this girl should smoke or not, it's hers and it will be her's alone... or her parents.:)
