My husband was told a couple of weeks ago that he has shingles. He did not break out in the blisters and the doctor told him that some people don't. The doctor put him on Lyrica CV and Vicodin but it hasn't seemed to help much. His main complaint is severe pain in his left leg above the knee. He said it feels like a great big tight very painful knot just in that one area. It seems to be worse at night and keeps him from sleeping. He pops pain pills every 4 hours but they help very little. Is it normal with shingles to have pain in one area like this? Thanks
