My boyfriend hears voices and he thinks I do too but, that I am lying to him

My boyfriend has schizo-effective disorder..and I'm not sure how to deal with some of his demands..for instance, last night he wanted to break up with me because, I don't want to take automotive classes with him. He also thinks I hear voices too, or that I will be hearing them soon. He also get's mad at me because, I don't agree with him that the voices "monitors" are real people in a room somewhere watching everything we do. I was kind of hoping that someone here who also hears voices, could give me some advice on how to deal with his unreasonable demands..I do love him, but I will not lie or tell him what he wants to hear when it's just not true. This is my first time joining a forum and I'm really not sure how to get my point accross...

Unfortunately there is no win/win situation here but it does sound like you are handling it the right way. Telling the truth may or may not be what he wants to hear but IMO it is the best way to handle the situation.
