today as i was walking across a street a really strange thing started to happen, im not sure why, i felt perfectly normal when i woke up. later on in the day i was talkin a walk to the local shops to pick up somethings (grocerys not drugs or anything i know what your thinking)but as i was walking around it kinda felt like i knew were i was supposed to be all of sudden, then out of no where the whole world was being played before me in some kind binary code or genetic code even?? im not sayin my vision had paterns of equations or anything but it seems as tho i have picked up a sense to feel these numbers or codes. people that i percieved as "bad people" had codes that seemed to put a virus thru my clean system and jump out and even attack me. these numbers seemed unusually harsh to me, i had the worst paranoia ive ever felt i had to get out of the building right away! i didnt even get wat i went to the shops for, as i walked down the street cars that came by seemed to be on a pre-written path that would go along smoothly until a screech of the tires or a sudden stop would disrupt the gental patterning of the numbers that have been written out for it already. more happened on this day but my train of thought is really lost at the moment and it is hard to type so i will update this later. just wondering if any one else has experienced this or anything similar with bizzare relations of numbers to people and things?? id like to hear some other peoples problems with mental illness, unknown perceptions of things ect..

sorry if this post seems a little all over the place i wrote it fairly late last night and my mind felt pretty fried. im havin quite a hard time even remembering yesterday, and i want to clarify i did not take any drugs wat so ever. i was thinking it was a possible acid flashback or something (its been more then a year since i last tripped) but it was alot clearer and about 1000 times more intense then any time i ever took acid. i just remember it started with the writing on things changing to binary code or dna pattern make ups or something but they were all very harsh patterns (not that i could read these numbers so much as i could understand them) but they seemed very aggrivated or distressed. it wasnt unplesent but freaked me out a bit until the paranoia came and that really freaked me out. i also had some involuntary head movements and twitchs wenever id enter some rooms

You should be taking your meds. This is not a healthy way to live - there is help available, go get some.

You don't need medication. Drugs are for quitters. What you really need is somebody else who's schizo you can be madly in love with, and the two of you could be homeless together. It'd be awesome! You could live in San Francisco. The homeless there have a wonderful network of friends. The thing you've got to remember is, whoever you pick for your life partner, you have to never ever separate from that person ever. Just keep staying together. All you need is love. Society tells you you need to work for a living and live indoors. Hell, our ancestors didn't do that. They would just eat whatever happened to be around. Their lives were so much healthier.

I feel like certain people are trying to get me to stop trying to figure this out. Do you feel like you are a part of the code or separate from it. I can't figure out if I am or not.

There is NO code!!! It is one of your symptoms. Please go see a doctor and take your meds! You can have a normal and fulfilling life, free of "codes" and troublesome thoughts if you choose to go to treatment.

Oh sure, that sounds like a good plan...NOT!
Why don't you ask the family of Kendra Webdale or the students who were shot at Virginia Tech how they feel about untreated mental illness?

You should get cognitive behavioral therapy- that helped me with some of my delusions, especially the paranoid delusions and the delusions I used to have about thinking I had to solve universal equations to determine the existence of imaginary psychic realms. These delusions agonized and tormented me daily. It was all a delusion and cognitive behavioral therapy helped me with that.

not everyone who doesnt take their meds will kill. to use that as an arguement is sickening

redeme, how much acid did you use to take? have you ever felt the same feelings of paranoia before without all the distorted thinking?

Yes, but schizophrenics who are taking their medications as prescribed are at almost 0% risk of suicide, homocide, or getting into trouble with the law.
Our prisons and hospitals are full of schizophrenics who are NOT med-compliant.

the codes are quite real. The mathematically based sciences exploit them for technological and other purposes. They constitute the noumenal world, as opposed to the phenomenal world that seems real to sub-schizophrenics. It is of course alarming to suddenly see the unfamiliar, and that many people have bad intentions and one should be wary of them. You're okay. Relax!

redeme,
If you want to beleive that these codes are real, and live the tortured life that comes with it all - go ahead. I never will understand a schizophrenic who choses to live this way when there is help available.
If you had diabetes, wouldn't you take the medication to treat it? Or would you convince yourself that those sypmtoms (extreme thirst, frequent urination, weigh gain, headaches, etc.) were "meant to be" or that you were "chosen" for some higher purpose? I doubt it - you would want the meds so that you could feel better!
Schizophrenia is a TREATABLE ILLNESS. It requires medical care like any other illness.
Your loved ones want you to get better, too. You seem like a very nice person - get the help so that you can have a better life!

i dont see codes, but i see patterns. the world goes plaid from all of the interconnecting radio signals and this is probably the code that you are seeing. i wish i could see it, maybe the world would make more sense.

It is good that you can sense that these feelings weren't really 'real'. A lot of our perceptions, thoughts and feelings are 'imaginary', and we should always try to step back from them and not let them affect our lives too much if possible.

I don't really agree with Twinkles that medication is the best answer. You should take care to ensure that you are looking after your body (healthy food, no junk food, get good sleep, a bit of aerobic exercise, and time spent chatting to other people whose company you enjoy). If you do these things you should be fine in the long term.

If your thoughts and feelings get too scary, talk about them with a friend or a doctor.

Always get your body as healthy as possible before you turn to medication.

Hi redeme. I realize that I am new here, but please trust me on this part. When it comes to meds, turst your doctor. When people give you advice to not take them, unless they have an MD behind their name and are YOUR doctor, don't listen to them. Listen to YOUR doctor. I wrte this from experience!!! Don't take chances.

Also, when you see things like "codes", please keep in mind that halucination's are a symptom, as are delusions. Please contact your doctor. I may be new to this board, but I am not new to mental illness.

In concern, Mike.
