We possibly had scabies in the house for 3 months 2 years ago.. not all of the symptoms, no scrapings done etc etc. Drove me and my family insane treating us and the environment over and over.
Fast forward to 3 weeks ago. 10 year old gets rash on both wrists. Looks nothing like scabies, comes and goes for a few days. 2 x docs say contact dermatitis. I mention scabies, as a kid in another classroom had them recently. Both docs assure it is not
I develop burning hands - no normal itch, but more stinging sensations. And some pain deep within flesh. I also then get some electric shock/biting sensations on other areas of body. No bumps or any physical signs of anything. Just in case-
Treat everyone twice. 6 days apart. Do everything to the house car office etc - vaccuum and steam clwan everything, covers on everything, all clothes and toys either baggged or hot washed and tumble dried. Gloves for handling any washing. All surfaces bleached over and over. Car vaccuumed, sprayed and covered. The list goes on, but you get the idea of the thoroughness.
Symptoms die down a bit. 10 year olds wrist issue hsd gone by the time of first treatment anyway. More my issue mentally with it - i even started smoking again after months.
Yesterday, kid has same painful rash on one wrist. Almost gone today. I had the burning stinging hands last night, okay today. The electric/biting is back. Not worse at night, thos morning was awful
So. Was it scabies in the first place? Does it even sound like scabies? And if so, how would r reinfection occur 2 weeks later. Do I just wait this out??
I stopped smoking agaon thurs, but just bought some, stupidly. But this is really doing my head in.
Please comment :)
