Well, I haven't posted in a while, but I am still suffering. I've tried evrything. My face has come under attack in the last month. I've spent hundreds of dollars on all kinds of over the counter stuff, treated with permethrin about 7 times, and took 18 mg of Invermectin 7 days apart combined with maliathon. The last treatment with the Invermectin and Maliathon was very helpful but not curative. I'm beginning to believe it is Colunbella for I have them jumping out of the carpets and scabies don't do that. I occasionally capture things, flick them in the toilet, and watch them do figure eights until they drowned, yet, two dermatoligists, who suck, tried to lean in the direction of delusional parasatosis. I just told them to give me the scripts I wanted, and they did. That's about all we can get out of a doctor, as they can never find anything in a scraping because, well, they suck. I can find them and keep them as pets, yet someone who makes a million dollars a year can't find anything. My girlfriend has had it with this. She is gorgeous, and I love her, yet we can't touch or ride in each others cars. This completely sucks, and I'm moving now to get away from these carpets. However, I'm not sure that will work. This disease totally wrecks peoples lives, so don't come on here and say we are all crazy or you yourself might find yourself pulling stuff out of your own body one day and go to a doctor and find no help. One reaps what he or she sows.
Hey I wish I could help, but I am going through the same thing. 1 year with springtails now, I remember when I didn't think I could make it month. I have no life, just cleaning and crawling 24-7 .... I'm praying my son will be a politician so he can get the entomologists to actually do some work that will help- if only to make the world acknowledge these b astards in our skin.

Thank you so much. I've been battling this for 9 months now. Was just about to break down and pay for Cedarcide kit, although they should be ashamed of the price. My sanity has been saved by the wonderful people like yourself who share info freely online. Learned Vicks Vaporub all over, will suffocate the bugs, sulfur soap, Sulfur 8 shampoo & oil help keep them out of my hair, but have to keep reapplying. I spray mix of 30 drops of grapefruit seed extract to 1.5 cup water all over my body, head, car, everwhere, put diatomaceous earth all over carpet, gave some relief But you're right, it makes them attack you before they do die. Best help internally, has been MSM and eating papayas. It really makes them leave you alone. I still dont understand how they can be here, terrorizing me, yet, never get on any of the other people that come visit.???

Don't waste your money on Cedarcide. You can get a much better and more potent spray made for cheaper.
- Buy 1 liter solution of Cedar Essential Oil Himalayan(Cedrus deodora). I paid just over 30 dollars for mine, and I'm sure you can get it for around the same price. Might want to get more if you have a big place.
- Buy Glass Cleaner with Ammonia.
- Buy Alcohol (percentage didn't really matter for me, minimum 50% though).
-Buy a portable sprayer (one that you have to pump and produces a solid fog/spray).
Why this is better:
-Cedarcide uses Juniperus virginiana as its source. Cedrus deodora is a much more potent "insecticide" through the studies I reviewed.
-Cedarcide uses 10% cedar oil and mixes the rest with Saline Solution (salt and water). With the mixture I am suggesting, you can create an slightly stronger concentration for a cheaper rate.
-Saline Solution isn't a "bug killer". Glass Cleaner and Alcohol are reputed for killing bugs on contact.
Basically mix 1L of Glass Cleaner with 1L of Alcohol. Add a cup (250ml) of Cedrus deodora oil. Mix rigorously. This mixture will give you 11% concentration. Not only is the concentration stronger, the oil itself is better. Not only is the oil better, the supporting ingredient, the "carrier", is much stronger as well. The above example produces over half a gallon (2.25L). Add it to your sprayer. Spray away.
With this breakdown, you could potentially make 9L (2.5 gallons) of my particular Cedarcide for around 40-45 bucks - AND IT'S STRONGER IMO.
It's worked for me. The first week was a nightmare though, as the bugs were reacting to the spray and attacking me. I just kept spraying with my portable pump action sprayer. After 2-3 days, a noticeable decrease in Collembola. I can sleep a full 7 hours. I keep spraying regardless every night, as it's pretty cheap and I will continue to do so for at least another 2 months.

I itched a sore and scraped the scab and pulled out a springtail!! I went to doc 3 times, treated with permethrin, all over, 3 times, as did my family, cos we were told we had scabies of unknown origin. No luck. Went too doc 4th time in six weeks, daughters went to different docs. We were all told we didn't have scabies. Referred to a dermatologist now. I obtained dead springtails from my bed. And it itches me so bad to lay in my bed.i have them in my car!. Sprayed, cleaned , vacuumed, mopped, etc. Til I am nearly dead! I use essential oils to no avail. I have them all over my body, tiny, itching open sores and nodules. Extreme burning, itching, pain in muscles and low grade fever. I am diabetic.

Hi Skarpa,
From what I've read there seems to be a connection between fungal issues and resistant mites/collembolla. What comes first doesn't seem to be determined in anything that I've read.
My experience is similar to yours in that cedarcide really made a difference on surface areas, car, shoes & belts etc. At the time that my infestation was really bad I couldn't afford to use it throughout my environment, but used other things that helped. Mainly things that worked against fungus or mold helped in my environment, bleach followed with baking soda, hydrogen peroxide on its own or mixed with Arm & Hammer detergent (sodium carbonate & enzymes), and pine-sol all worked well in my environment.
Ivermectin internally and various topicals got me near cured many times, but what turned the corner for me was a consistant detox program so that I wasn't attracting the bugs anymore.
There is a lot of information on this forum and it used to be very helpful, but things have degenerated since December, so I don't post often anymore. If you'd like to contact me, please do.
Best of luck,
Armed
