Nick! Oh my gosh, sorry I read through this thread super quik, noticed no1 wrote about Tastar Pro and just now came back to read through more carefully. Order the sublimed sulfur online and makea paste with 20% sulfur and the rest vaseline. Leave on as often as you can. Stsrt taking the following natural remedies internally:
Triphala 4 caps 4x/day to start, after a few weeks take them 4 caps 3x/day.
Neem leaf extract caps, same amount as above.
Turmeric 2 caps, 4x/day, after a few week 3x/day.
Also, a good multi-vitamin, omegas, super odorless garlic, ester-C, selenium & olive leaf are all good as well... Take these as prescribed on the bottle while doing the mega doses of the first three.
Drink a ton of water, exercise, sweat and CLEAN!
During the day after rinsing off the sulfur (unless you are staying home then don't rinse and just keep layering on sulfur, 4 days is best), don a moisturizer that you have added clove bud oil to. That has proven helpful for me and others.
You may try adding some DMSO to this moisturizer as well or check out other scabies links where RK IN THE HOUSE outlines a more specific DMSO recipe, incl. Lemongrass, lavender essential oils and citra solv.
At night, put the sulfur and a little bit of mustard seed powder in a tea tree oil conditioner and let set. If you don't protect your scalp, they'll go there.
Another remedy I've read about is making a paste with neem leaf powder, turmeric powder and mustard seed powder in a carrier oil like olive or grapeseed and applying this liberally and often. Don't use the neem seed oil (what you will find when you look to buy general neem oil), you will need to buy the neem leaf powder in bulk and make your own. Its the leaf that has the most anti-parasitic actions.
The sulfur works great, thats whats in Epsom that is helping you out a little bit. Buy it in bulk powder so you can make an inexpenive and more effective paste at 20% conc
Take care k!
I'm running low on cash i have sulfer 10% is safe to put on body head to toe? I thought about doing this but not sure if it safe or not cause i read someone where it get's into your blood stream? if anyone know please let me know thanks

HKB,
Thanks a ton for posting this information as we battle with the same thing. I couldnt ever find where/if you posted about what you did for your house...Anyone have any good strategies for the house?

Been battling a problem for 3 years. Finally figuring out, it is bird mites.
I finally found the evidence and they are small and red little buggers.
This is what got them off me:
1st night Soak in a tub of 2 C Epsom Salt for an hour. Soak towels to put over the parts you can not submerge. Keep pouring the water over you. Before you get out make a concentrated cup of water and epsom salt. Stand up and pour it on you. Get out of the tub and dry naturally, no towl. Lightly blow dry. Salt Crystals will form on your skin. I still had some on the next morning and my skin felt great. The next night I soaked again. But instead of doing the concentrate at the end, I got out, dried off and put a oil mix on. I used Olive Oil, Cocnut oil, Neem & Tea Tree. Put on thick, Rub it in. Leave it on overnight. Everything will start falling out of your skin. Eggs, the mites, all thier crap. Still have scab looking things but hopefully they will start healing. I am using Polysporin on the scabs. Now when I feel anything moving and when changing clothes I dob the Absorbine Junior all over like a Bingo dobber, I am finding them dead on my skin. Aborbine Jr is all Menthol. They hate menthol.
Will do another post as to what we did to house and clothes.

I have had bird mites since Oct. 2011; came in from an open window and there was a bird's outside I didn't know about.

I found a prescription cream called Prutect smoothers the skin mites and they die also it helps heal the sores from the bites.

I shower with a lemon verbena soap and that helped quite a bit. I also drink pomegranate juice and pineapple juice ( not from concentrate) and I think I am cleansing from the inside also.

Lysol spray stopped the mites in my car and the chair and carpet where I work.

I also found that using straight Epsom salts on my carpets ( sprinkled on and covering all the base boards) and left for days) has dramatically reduced the mites in my carpets.

I also use peppermint oil in my shampoo and conditioner and that has stopped the mites in my hair.

For extra measure I spray Peppermint oil around my house, bathroom and kitchen.
I find dead mites on the floor titles.
Hope these items help someone else also.

Do you sill have mites on your body? Also did you get rid of them from your home and if so how? I read the only way to get them out the house is to gas your house.

From my experience, you can purchase Cyonara (a knockdown and residual) from doyourownpestcontrol dot com. Also, and very imporant here, purchase an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR), too. Combined, these two will knock out anything in your home and will also keep them from reproducing, too. The initial expense is somewhat high, but, from my experience, they were both worth their weight in gold. They also helped in the car, too. They cost about $60 for each container. You only use a small amount for each application. Mix with water. You are good to go. Some pest control companies use a cocktail of chemicals, but this can be easily done by purchasing these products from this online source.

I work in a consignment store for nearly five years. Ive been dealing with monumental stress and i know my immune system has been compromised. I also work with an older lady who is the most unheathiest person i know. Ok every time i go up into the attic and bring down cardboard boxes of stored clothing my legs start itching so bad. Next thing it transfers to my hands and my arms and then my head and body. I come home with this itching buzzing sensation infecting my home environment. My daughter isnt effected my family and freinds also are not infected. What ive reasearched is that im obviously the female host. Im not sure if its bird mites but it replicates scabies. Permetherin works only on live organisms but i have to repeat again and again for the eggs that are hatching. I borax Steam everything and vaccum everything. It helps but doesnt end it. Ive just reasearched Menthol and have started using Tiger Balm but it isnt helping. Also from using Permetherin and Borax ive become chemically sesitive to everything so i cant use Bounce sheets or pet products. What Next???
I would find another job if at all possible. You'll never get rid of this problem otherwise. Not a chance.

The problem is that as long as you work in an environment that takes in items infested with not only bird mites but possible lice eggs, bed bugs, and other parasites, you won't be able to keep from being infected yourself.
After what I've been through, I'll never buy anything again 2nd hand for the reasons listed above. In fact I can hardly contemplate getting on an airplane or going to a theatre. I was a pretty casual person before this. Not anymore.
I wish you good luck and hope you can find another job where you have a chance of getting rid of these d---d bugs.

We have a really bad infestation of mites. Bad little buggers! We thought it was lice, but I had never seen lice like this. I think we have it diagnosed. Now to get to work! If I invest in a good steam cleaner and vacuum. Along, with some good pesticide. Should that do it? I have most of our clothes bagged. I plan to wash the winter clothes in hot water and borax. Then put them in a vacuum sealed bag and do the same with the bedding. We are doing the soaks in Epsom salts and menthol. I have some lotions that have camfur and menthol them. Ok so what have i missed?? Please please please help!

Two week trip cross the country and was still hounded every day. I'm at my wits end. Probably spent a thousand dollars on all the products I've read on serious postings.

Have you read about army itch & how all soldiers were cured after bathing in a sulfur hot spring clothes & all were washed in the same water. Add some lavender & sage but you must keep it up due to your environment. Good luck.

"Australia" poster. Did you know that Naturasil sells sulphur soap that contains LAVENDER. Have a look. A little overpriced, but not bad for a few bars of soap.
http://www.naturasil.com/naturasil-medicated-...
Of course, it won't cure you of scabies, but it can be helpful in keeping the numbers down.
You can buy sulphur soap at Walmart for $2.00, though.
Here's some from Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss/185-55...
It looks like dermasil and naturasil have the market on this sulphur lavender soap product.

I've had my share of creepy crawly things over the past three years from dealing with people who live in a rooming house and don't care what they live in. I've been told it's all in my head, there's nothing there, cost me tons of money at the derm and tons of creams. The thing that worked for me for scabies was peppermint oil. Not straight, mixed in a spray bottle with about 2 inches full of the oil and the rest water. You spray it on you and it'll burn the heck out of you while it's working - so much so that I cried and couldn't wait to get in the bath. Even when I got in the tub it still burned for a bit - said a lot of Hail Mary's till it stopped. Then launder everything you can think of and use a combination of Clove oil and the peppermint oil on your carpets, couches, beds, etc. This kills them and there is help in sight.I also added DE to my bath water to help pull them out. As soon as that stopped, about 3 months later I came into contact with bird mites!
What works for them is neem on your body, in conjunction with the Rid generic at night when you feel them crawling on you. I even put it around my butt, no lie, but it stops the itching and kills the buggers. The Neem I found in a shampoo at walmart. There's also a dog shampoo - all natural, you can use that has all three in it. Organic Oscar shampoo for skin. It has no dog stuff in it, good for people too, and only $7. If you feel lost, you're not alone!
