I have a rash and I dont know if this is the characteristic of all rashes or just because its in my groin area but. When I shower and water touches the rash (hot or cold) the rash seems to 'flare' up and turns a dark reddish purple color. During the day the area will almost all go back to normal color except for some random red bumps but what I call the 'original rash' always flares when water touches it. The original rash was all one big rash and was always darker around the edges. It didnt have the for sure ring worm look but some of the characteristics made me think ringworm. With steroid treatment (and fungal) its down to just most the pink bumps and the skin that flares when water hits it.

Is water sensitivity normal for scabies? Is it normal for scabies to start out as one large slightly scaly rash? Now that it has 'calmed' a doctor at urgent care thinks its scabies especially since its moved to my stomach. At first I was relieved that there was treatment for it and it sounded easy (scrub down with a cream twice and be done!) but now I am completely freaked out. I do have pictures of the rash when it started and what it is now. Its the groin area though so if I photoshopped it just so only a chunk of the skin is visible would that be okay? I can also take a photo of the small area on my stomach.
