I have tried the ivermectin pills with BB, permethrin, malathion and Eurax. I even took ivermectin for 8 days straight with topicals for the skin and STILL keep getting new marks and burrows. I am at my wits end and don't want to live this way any more. Nothing seems to work! I am trying Ivermectin pills again and was wondering if anyone took the pills on days 1, 4 & 7 . The scabies lay eggs every 3 days so I would think its logical to treat on these days since the pills don't kill the eggs. Another problem I have is that the scabies are in my scalp. I've had marks on my face, neck and head. Does anyone know how to treat the upper part of the body for this infection?? Any comments or help would be very much appreciated.

I just treated my family this weekend, so 4 days ago. Does this really get as bad as all this? I have 5 kids, treated everyone and some of us JUST got bumps after treating with the perm cream. The stuff I'm reading here is scary at the least. I had no idea it just kept going.... Advice for large family very welcomed.

i only come here occasionally now, having been scabies-free for nearly a year. still really feel for you all, i guess that is why i keep coming back. i am hoping 'please help' has been cured by now.
for all it is worth, i am still adamant that perm is no good, and iver and BB are the way to go. my skin was still horrible after i did iver (stromectol) with topical BB, but about a month later i was back to normal after nearly six months of hell and numerous futile perm treatments. best of luck to you all xx.
I was wondering where you bought the BB from.

Ask your doctor for atarax it's a good anti itching pill I take 25mg 3 times a day for 3 weeks. Also yellow soft paraffin in the skin soothes the itch but you must put it in the direction of your growth as used wrongly will block the hair paws and cause folicitis.you can even use the paraffin on your scalp provided it is used sparingly.

Good luck

Please help what can I use to get rid of these scabies spots?! Treatment was perm.Cream and.stromectal going on for two months now?!?! How will I know the mites are gone?!?! Help please!

you usually need to use at least a couple of treatments together to get rid of scabies. Chances are that you're still infected. Get hold of some permethrin cream 5% at least and apply head to toe including scalp while using ivermectin. Search these forums thoroughly and sort the wheat from the chaff as far as info goes- theres some great advice and some silly stuff. Usually natural remedies don;t work with scabies and you need 'the big guns' like iver and perm together.

I have suffered with scabies an i worked in the medical field for 20 years now ( this is where I contracted it from a patient at the facility I work at ) ... As well I have tried everything but have found that sulfur worked the best i have been using 10% sulfur infused soap and 10% sulfur ointment it does not smell very pleasant but it works very well after 3 days I stopped itching I purchase the bar soap with 10% sulfur at Rite Aid drugstore as well as the 10% sulfur ointment... Cost me under 10$ and works well it will make ur skin very dry ... I recommend taking a shower with the sulfur soap twice a day and only the ointment at night before going to bed make sure to keep washing your bed linen also your clothes and towels if you can daily... also try to find plastic covers to go over your bed.. whatever you cant wash or dry put inside of a bag and set it aside in a separate room they will die off if you leave them oxygen deprived they will die quicker ...try to sleep with it as cool as possible its harder them to move or mate an cuts the itching down tremendously.... I will post again in a week to let everyone know how the sulfur is working... YOU MUST BE religious when doing the treatments if not they will fail every time so again keep your clothes washed and the hottest water and let your clothes dry on the highest setting take a shower a couple times a day with the sulfur soap and put on the sulfur ointment at night... Make sure u use a moisturizer during the day so your skin doesn't dry out too badly.... Thanks i hope this my help
