Welcome to the seventh circle of hell. Scabies are perhaps in the top three worst things to happen to me physically. After six loooooong months I am FINALLY finding relief! Lets see, four treatments of peremerthrin. four treatments of Eurax(crotamiton) with both of their side effects the little buggers came rageing back almost instantly after use. The dang Eurax had me stumbling like a drunken man until I washed it off. I was dizzy and sick to my stomoch with a wierd headache so I read about it and found they have not done ANY testing on its total side effects, great! So in desperation I started a course of pure NEEM OIL with the addition of shampoo, soaps and lotions. After three days my skin is clearing and the bumps are sibsiding. The key is patience in useing these products. The truth is with the huge prison, hospital, and care home populations these bugs are building an immunity to the frontline treatments. Really I was totally desperate and getting reading to use the ivermectin treatment until I found this product. It has a culmanative effect that takes some time(15 days of application) and I'm MUCH BETTER AFTER THREE DAYS). So give it a try before applying or swallowing ANY MORE POISON! NEEM works because nobody uses it and the bugs have no immunity. It does not kill them right out but slowly messes them up. It totally killed spider mites in my greenhouse and scabie mites are the same family. Its working so far for me and you all outta give it a try as it is natural and actually GOOD FOR THE SKIN!NOTHING HAS WORKED THIS WELL THUS FAR! Good luck!

Oh and keep up on your usual cleaning and laundry. I wash my clothes with soap and BORAX and leave them 10 days before wearing againI. Here is my daily routine:
Shower in a.m. with neem soap and shampoo
Neem lotion head to toe
Shower in p.m. Neem soap and Selson Blue shampoo
Liberally apply pure NEEM oil over whole body after shower
and leave on overnite until a.m. shower
Fairly simple and CHEAP! And CLEAN,CLEAN, CLEAN! your house ect.
The interesting thing about NEEM is that it kills the bugs by disturbing their life cycle. They will FORGET so to speak to eat and mate. The neem oil will even stop them from moulting into adults. The problem is is that the western mind wants a quick and easy fix to all that ails the person but I have found when it comes to scabies you have to literally go to WAR with these little monsters and the best tool I have found so far has been neem. It takes time but really I have to tell you folks that after SIX MONTHS this is the best result for me so far. Go to your local garden supply and get neem for about $25.00 a pint which is way more than you will ever use. Go to your helath food store for NEEM shampoo and soaps. I'm still waiting for my 10% sulphur cream to come in the mail and that will be added to my routine.Seems a shame that you really cannot find 10% sulphur products over the counter but you can find it on the web. This is also a product that works very well but Doctors don't prescribe it under the belief that patients will not use it because it takes effort.WOW! Try haveing scabies for six months and you'll comply with almost anything. But truthfully this is why they do not prescribe sulphur because its too much trouble for the patient! Sad but true. Survival of the fittest in this case. Sulphur calls for threee overnite application in a row and if it does not get all the scabies you repeat until resolution. This combined with NEEM for 15 days seems to be acceptable to me. I don't see how the bugs coud survive such a hostile enviorment for long. And like I said it worked wonders in the greenhouse and its working wonders on me. Good luck!

Hi Lil B,
Have you been putting the pure 100% neem oil on your face as well? That is where most of my bites are (about 50 as of today), so my skin is a red mess. I bought the oil today but am wondering if I shoul dilute it in another oil or just put it on full-strength. I don't want to further irritate my skin and look worse tomorrow (if that is possible). THanks for your input.

I cut neem oil last night with some coconut oil and put it on my face and body (face is where the problem currently is). I woke up with NO new bites, as far as I can tell, which is much better than the 20 or so new ones I had been waking up to the last week or so. I will try this again tonight for sure. I also ate three garlic cloves and took a bleach bath. I am thinking that these things can be done inbetween iver and perm treatments...

I use Neem oil STRAIGHT, although coconut oil is a good carrier for the product and has certain healing properties in its own right! I use neem shampoo, neem leaf and oil lotion, neem leaf and aloe lotion and I take four neem leaf capsules a day. I'm still having good results and am expecting some 10% sulphur cream and soap and lotion in the mail soon to give these lil boogers the one two punch! Apply Neem TWO TIMES EVERY DAY on all body parts!

ok ft.bragg havent heard u "bragg" lately about how the neem is working- so how is it working? cuz i have been using it by cutting thera pure 100% organic cold pressed w/ grapeseed oil 1/2oz neem to 4oz grapeseed. im doing this cuz i dont have the money to get more neem- gotta stretch it and i read that for Ag. pesticide use its effective diluted in a carrier oil down to 1% on some pests! so i figure 12.5% neem should be good enough. i apply it whole body except my head which i never had any infestation above my armpits even so i figure again... any how i dont even own enuf clothes to make 10 days worth of clothes changes, so on laundry im doing the best that i can wearing clothes in a rotation but only enough to make it 5 days. ive been applying teh neem at least twice a day and sometimes more- i always have it on except when im in the shower. i only have a shower stall otherwise id put it in my bath. i actually dont wear any clothes- just neem oil whenever possible- serious! wash bedding and steam iron the f&%@ outta my futon. ive covered my carpet w/ this plastic carpet protection stuff you get at home depot that is sticky like tape so it sticks to the carpet and you overlap it to seal the carpet off- used for paint spraying a room or other home improvements that could ruin a carpet, but its one of my secret weapons against bug infestations. so ive been "neeming" for at least 3 weeks and i still have very mild symptoms- keep at it right? thats why im wondering how you have done now that some weeks have passed. please tell me. i need neem support.

I would also like to know how long I should use the neem. I am having good results (finally) now that I am using straight neem, but am scared to stop using it! My husband can't stand the smell and I have to admit it is a bit messy...

Americangirl I wanna be clear with ya..NEEM will work but it is along drawnout process and I have to admit that I had the scabies REAL BAD! UCK! So in desperation I went with sulfer as well and BAM the scabies hate that stuff. All dry and itchy more itchy than usual(which I have heard is a good sign) I bought my sulpher at a feed store. Name brand is NU Stock 73% sulfer Pine Oil 2% Mineral Oil 23%. Mix to a !0% dilution with Neem Body Lotion or lotion of your choice.Maybe 1 tbls. Nu Stock to about eight or nine of lotion. Stinks cuz of the pine but WOW this stuff works. WATCH OUT bout the mixing cuz I went about 25% and burned the crap outta my skin but killed a bunch o scabies! Apparently SULFER and NEEM will CURE YA! Seems to be workin for me where all else has failed miserbly. You can also by HUMCO brand sulpher on line and use this as well as it is the correct "type" of sulfer. The MEYERS sulfer sold in the tub is worthless as it is not refined is is course and way too greasy for all day wear. Sulfer for seven days straight puttin the cream on at night and showering before reapplication each day,or, three days on and three days off for 15 days. So 'm doing a full week of sulfer and Neem then am going to take three days off and then I'm going to do the three days on and three off for 15 days cuz I want the lil buggers off after 7 months of pure hell. the supfer will dry ya and bum out yer skin so LOTS of neem lotion for me!

since you live in India, I had a quick question: I got permethrin from an online source and the box says "Perma" and the tube came in a box which is white with purple, teal and burgundy writing. says its from Universal Twin Labs. is this whats its supposed to look like? just wondering if its legit.

Lil B got me convinced. I've been using permethrin for two rounds, and just ordered another round from the pharmacy. I've been on it for about 2 and a half weeks, and have been battling scabies since early February. I didn't know what it was at first. I've also added bleach baths (which really helped) to my 'system'. It helps with the itching, and seems to help kill off the buggers. However, still had a little 'break out' last night. Got the neem oil and the stuff from the garden store and just took my first bath. I was already doing much better before adding the neem, but hope it will help get rid of these things once and for all. It seems to keep coming back to my hands (not sure why)...and usually I have a 'break out' every 7 days or so (life cycle? hatching eggs? not sure)...during the interim, i'm much better. I am hoping for a decent night sleep soon (without all of the itching) so that I can try to get caught up on all of it that I've missed out on. Good luck to everyone!!!

scabies on the hands is very common- all websites and printed material i got from the health dept. AND the Dr. all said on the hands in between the fingers and around the wrists. the scabies just like that part of the body. maybe to them its like malibu is to us, prime real-estate! they all dream of living there among the rich and famous scabies in fabulous digs on the stunning microscopic beach on the back of your hand...

this has gotten way "outta hand" here- i got more perm on the way from someone who loves me very much in ontario- its being mailed to me as i write. that plus the neem is my next move. just nothing but neem plus tea tree has kept tham barely noticable for a month now tho. i started 2 days after i was exposed this time tho- so i wasnt showing symptoms yet when i started applying neem and tea tree.

but if i hadnt used neem and tea tree at all for the past month, by this time id have been suicidally itchy. so it is working excellent to control them- just hasnt killed them completely.

I just wanted to let those of you still suffering that I'm finally healing from this terrible affliction after 8 months of hell. I used Permetherin 6 times, Eurax 3 times, Neem oil 2x daily for 2 months, 10% sulfur cream 6x and 5 loads of laundry with Borax daily. My husband and I both had it and have not slept in the same bed for 6 months. We have seen 5 different doctors who all treated us very disrespectfully. My husband finally begged his dermatologist to give him 2 doses of ivermectin (he wouldn't treat me at the time because he was too busy and I was not a current patient). We each took 12 mg of ivermectin and we appear to have killed them. Good luck to all of you and take ivermectin if you can get it.

We dreamed it up after reading posts and possible cures for MONTHS!!!! I'll telll ya that it has been a hatefulll horrible 7 month journey. My wife Ala posted about our "possible" cure. It has been 28 days for me without a new bite or lesion. My skin is all beat to hell and the marks are still healing. The scabs are gone but the marks look like old burns and may end up as scars. My skin is still dry and flaking from the sulfur ect.but no more crawling or biting or new bumps. What really seemed to work was the ivermectin (stromectol) 12mgs one time.(Two times for me2nd dose 18 days after the first after my pills arrived from India)The result was immediate. Continued using sulfer 10% 3 days on 3 days off for 3 rounds for a total of 18 days duration after the iver. Whatever the case for me it seems to be over. I could talk for hours about the journey but I will say the most infuriating component about this ordeal has been the reaction from the doctors we have met. From this experience I have pretty much lost all of the little faith I had in western medicine. The arrogance was astounding. The lack of empathy was inexcusable. Find a decent derm and implore them to prescribe ivermectin (stromectol) and if they are too arrogant or ignorant buy it internationl (Canada) The stuff that will come will be from India but I researched these Indian sources and they are reputable and safe and used by Canada and Europe which have standards just as strict as USA. The problem with USA medical care is the inability to easily access pharmacuticals as opposed to Europe and Canada. It truly is a crime, but as I said these Indian pharms are SAFE and registered with the European and Canadian markets. Good luck! PS 10% sulfur and Ivermectin works. Ivermectin is 1mg for 10 lbs of body weight.10% Humco sulfer with Coconut butter or body lotion for a less greasy body cover.

Whatever else you do, read the Testimonials about a non-toxic product which our soldiers say works better than DEET in killing the extremely tough sand fleas in Iraq. Be sure to read the Testimonial about eliminating the infamous bird mites, as well as other body mites, bed bugs, head lice, etc. Go to: http://www.cedarcidestore.citymax.com/page/pa...
To save yourself some time, I suggest that you first scroll down to the last Testimonial (by Lillian McGovern from Philadelphia, PA) at the bottom of the page and work your way up. Also put Cedarcide into your Search engine (Google it) and read some of the reviews of their products. Read as much as you can about the product, Best Yet, as it can be used on the body and as a side benefit reportedly softens the skin.

Thanks so much to all of you on this forum. In desparation I read the posts and decide to try neem oil. My eyes had been reacting on and off for the last 4 years - allergist said I was allergic to house dust mite !I had a skin scrape on my ankle rash and it was negative. This year, symptoms had become much more chronic with cycles of inflammation and peeling every week. Also wrinkles were getting horrible. After 3 and a half weeks on neem oil mixed with hypoallergenic moisture cream, applied twice a day, my eyes look almost normal. I also use neem soap to wash my face and hair.
I am so grateful for you all sharing your experiences and wish you well on your healing journeys.

so could i be having scabies on my face and scalp then? i just thought the itches on my face were part of the allergic reaction in my entire system and my scalp i put down to dandruff and dry skin but its terribly itchy. but i was told they dont really go above the neck. i dont have a bad body rash because i use scabicide every six weeks and i do it all properly even anally, but it always comes back and my scalp is itchy and scabby under my hair always x

scabies girl,
They definitely DO get into your scalp and face. It's not their favorite spot on most people, but once you start treating elsewhere, that's where they go. I was also told that they don't affect your scalp,, and go a really bad case on my head as well as a few bites on my jawline. My son also got them in his scalp. I don't think the Drs. are up on just how resistant these bugs have become.
